DO NOT BRING OR SAY YES TO HAVE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!! They do not care for the patients or bring them there medication. They do not take them showers of bed baths. I had to bathe my loved one every time i went. Skilled Nursing Facility NO NOT SKILLED AND PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!! They would ask my family member for her bank statements when she was alone and tried injecting her with insulin even though shes not diabetic. Good thing I was there. NOT Caring my family member called 911 because my Mother was having difficulty breathing. They do not help feed the patients either if they need help like my mother can only move one side of her body. They just leave the food there at the table by the bed. The "emergency call button" only blinks and if only the nurse sees it. They leave patients under the sun in the building for them to fall asleep on the table leaning from the wheel chair. My mom's emergency call button is always out of her reach and the room telephone is always disconnected. Of course until i would visit or a family member to reconnect and leave it where she could answer. So much more.....

My neighbor was a resident. During her stay the entire staff were forthcoming about the care she was getting. They encourage socializing and involved her in menu planning. All in all, we had a good experience.
Oh first of all do not let the name fool you. It’s actually a Genesis Skilled Nursing Facility. It’s located in the Villiage of Northrise. If I could 0 stars I would! Please do not take your loved ones there unless you want them to recieve the ABSOLUTE WORST care I’ve ever seen. Staff do not care about the residents/ patients what so ever. This is not a skilled nursing establishment it’s an establishment that neglects their patients. My mother was there for literally 5 days and NOT ONCE was she assisted to go to the bathroom after major abdominal surgery. If they would have answered call lights in less than the 20-28 minutes it would take them to get there, they would have been aware of how many times a day my poor mom was having very loose stools. Long story short, I had them call 911 because my mother was severely dehydrated. Upon arrival at ER she was diagnosed with sepsis, colitis and cdif. She had to be air lifted to a hospital in El Paso. So I hope this review detours some people to stay far away from this place. If my mom got so sick in just the 5 days she was there, can you imagine those poor residents/patients that are there long term. Put it this way, my mothers Home Health RN had to basically get mad at an LPN because all he did was disconnect their Wound Vac device and was going leave the wound dressing in and leave the Wound Vac tube hanging out and was gonna send her off to the ER like that. My mothers Home Health RN demanded he change the dressing and remove the tube. So please please do your research and ask to take a tour of the facility before sending any of your loved ones there.
Avoid this facility at all costs. We reported them to the State of New Mexico. The Physician's group who oversee care at this facility are incompetent. My father was showing signs of severe infection and was not sent to the emergency room for two days. He had COVID Pneumonia and a Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection. They stopped his tube feeding even though he had a tumor in his mouth and was having difficulty eating. He has passed away. This facility does not provide adequate care. Please stay far away from this facility.
We got here after my mother got to the facility and the staff was very friendly and gave us the information we needed to know about the schedule and food etc. We felt very welcomed and even had lunch with my mother. The food was great for 5 dollars.
