I would definitely recommend The Village at Kensington Place as a wonderful home for your loved one. All the staff are very caring, compassionate and knowledgeable about their specialty. They take the time to know their residents names and preferences. They have beautiful spaces inside and outside to relax and socialize. The food is excellent. The chef and serving staff also take time for each resident, to chat and know their likes and dislikes. The recreation options are extremely varied and interesting. The outside trips are educational and fun, as are the inside facility options. The nurses and aides are beyond compare when taking care of the residents needs. This is truly a wonderful place to call home.

Our Mother has been a resident for two years and the experience has been excellent. The Village recently lost power as did many Meriden residents and this was especially concerning as our Mother is reliant on oxygen machines. Within minutes, Dan (their maintenance worker) was at her apartment with a plug for the back up generator. We cannot express how thankful and grateful we are for Dan’s quick response. We are so impressed with his commitment and compassion. It gives us such peace of mind. Thank you Dan from the bottom of our hearts.
My husband is a resident in the Harbor memory care and I'm very pleased with the care he receives. They offer weekly outings, live music, animal therapy, food demos, crafts, games, etc. The recent remodeling is really nice and in the warmer weather we enjoy sitting out in their patio/garden area. It's a very warm and welcoming facility.
My uncle Paul lived a Kensington place for 3 years.Everyone there was very personable and helpful and very caring.Kensington has a beautiful dining room and has just completed a total remodel..I would recommend putting your love ones there for all the activities and social events but most important the safety and professional care they will receive.
I am truly grateful for the staff at The Village at Kensington. They are professional, proactive, and show genuine concern for the residents. The facility is well maintained. The nursing staff are knowledgeable and attentive. The activities are varied and plentiful. The meals are well balanced and delicious. It is very difficult to leave someone you love in the care of others. The staff at the Village have made this transition as close to perfect as is humanly possible. I would recommend them with no reservation.
