I Visited the Villa at Stamford today for an interview to join the Rehabilitation team. I Loved the surroundings going into the building. The receptionist at the front dest was very courteous and welcoming. The facility is comforting environment. Very clean with no odors. The decorations wete pleasant and not overwhelming.The Staff was very polite and welcoming. I noticed great interactions with patients and staff. The Rehabilitation department on the whole was fantastic. Loved the respectful interactions of the patient and therapists. There was great outdoor access for patients to be involved in gardening, long walks, hiking, barbecuing. I would definitely recommend this facility for your loved ones looking for Short term Rehabilitation or long term stay.

My grandmother Marija began her stay at The Villa in the acute care while recovering from a hip replacement surgery, and then eventually moved to the long-term care facilities. During her time while receiving physical rehabilitation and thereafter, she has been met by caring members of the staff who have gone out of their way to ask if she needs anything or offer friendly words to keep her engaged. In Physical Therapy, Brandon has been helping to provide top quality care including customized schedules, and the CN Frank has met every nighttime routine with efficiency and punctuality. Of exceptional note for being helpful has been Petrit the Supervisor of Maintenance, who is extremely capable, kind, and flexible to make all types of repairs on the premises, including responding to calls to fix the lights and television. Overall, we are very impressed by the level of personal care and attention to patient needs. Thank you especially to Brandon, Frank and Petrit, and the entire staff!
Our mother came to be at the villa for sub-acute rehabilitation. After receiving exceptional care she decided this was to be her permanent residence offering her daily assistance and physical therapy. The staff is beyond attentive and genuinely kind. After I posted my dissatisfied review, I had the chance to reevaluate my husband's experience at THE VILLA. The administration was VERY responsive to our complaints. Peter, the Executive Director reached out often to me and my husband as did the Admissions person and the social services director. They wanted to make my husband's experience better and they did. My husband loved the physical therapists and felt that they offered innovative ways to manage his Parkinson's symptoms. And they kept his spirits up. The nurses are firm believers of tough love, which sometimes is good and sometimes is not so good. HOWEVER, the big issues still remain that the sub acute rehab is understaffed and the food is terrible. But I needed to change my review because my husband said he received good out of his experience there. And the social services director educated me in detail on what was possible and not possible for his care after the rehab experience which I appreciated.
My handicapped brother John has been receiving wonderful care from the staff at the Villa after he broke his knee recently. A special shout out to the intake coordinator Blimie, the social worker Christine and the tireless and caring business officer Nicolina. The team is really making a difference in his life. I am very grateful.
