My wife and I moved into the Talbot 4 years ago. From the very first meeting with Talbot agent, we have had a very positive encounter. The first 2 apartments we were shown were not large enough for our belongings. The Director said that she had a unit we would like but was not ready just yet. We reviewed the unit and liked it right away and signed the lease. We make good use of the activities area and the outings they put together. The activities are run extremely well and there is always something for everyone. It was lunch time, and we were offered a very nice lunch. This was another very positive part of the Talbot. There is always food served in the dining room that is acceptable to the majority of residents. We were shown the pool area and again a positive feeling of a place we wanted to live. We went to the exercise and physical training area and were shown and told the benefits of this area. Another positive point on why to move into the Talbot on Granby. Now the big question were the Talbot apartments reasonably priced. After reviewing other places in the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area we would say yes, The Talbot on Granby deserves the 5-star rating. We have lived here for 6 years. The staff is warm and welcoming and looks after us like family. The residents are friendly and have created a vibrant community. There are so many activities that you can always find something to do. Having exercise classes 5 days a week is a real bonus and having a physical therapy department on-site is a real plus. With transportation available for medical appointments and shopping, who could ask for more?
Great Neighbors, who are new friends. Activities to keep you engaged and active. Dining serving team some of the friendliest people that always aim to please. Management team very approachable. Housekeeping excellent. Spacious apartment, beautiful gardens. We’re glad we chose to move here!
Everyone very friendly, the staff as well as the residents. Love my apt. Good food. Activities keep us busy and are great. Entertainment is very good. It is wonderful that we also have transportation to doctor appointment and shopping.
My husband and I have only lived at the Talbot for less than a year, but we knew right away we had made the right choice. We visited many other senior communities in the area, but The Talbot was the best fit for us in terms of cost, location, amenities, and the living space. Our apartment floor plan is wonderful, with huge closets, plenty of space for our furniture, and a great balcony. Our friends are always impressed when they visit. And the best part is the warmth and friendliness of our neighbors and the staff. We are happy to call The Talbot on Granby HOME.
