My healthy, 97 year old mother moved to The Springs at Lake Oswego in the summer of 2024, it was the best decision that our family has made regarding her care. She used to live in a condo by herself, it was on the other side of town and we only got to see her periodically. Now she's in Lake Oswego, close to us and we're able to visit multiple times per week, it's wonderful. My wife and I have made so many friends there, both residents and staff, everyone is super nice and welcoming. I always describe The Springs as like living full-time on a cruise ship. There are 3 great restaurants with an incredible food selection that is constantly changing, so that the residents get a variety of choices. There's a pool, theater, workout facilities, onsite physical therapy and the most amazing rooftop area that I've ever seen. The rooftop has a barbecue area, putt-putt golf, bocce ball, a chess board with the 2' tall chess pieces, etc. There are so many activities that you can participate in, you will NEVER be bored. Of course my mom likes to try to take advantage of everything, so she's always putting together puzzles, doing flower arrangements, painting, playing board games and of course she works out 6-days a week in the mornings with a group of other residents. You don't have to be that active, you can choose how much or how little you want to participate but I'll tell you, being active like my mom is, I believe has added years to her life. Anytime I get the chance, I always try to talk about our experience at The Springs. We actually took a neighbor and his wife there for a tour just last week. I wouldn't associate myself or recommend something unless I was 100% sure of the product and I am 100% sure about The Springs. I'm always wondering if reviews, good or bad are real, I can assure you that this is absolutely real. You can see my name on this review, all of the staff at The Springs know who my mom is and who I am. If you ever want to ask questions, you can just show one of the sales people at The Springs this comment and they'll know who I am and how to get a hold of me. They won't give you my contact information but you can leave yours with them and I would be happy to reach out to answer any questions that you have.

My parents were loved at The Springs at Lake Oswego, they wern't just cared for. From Wendy Wood who helped us to get them into and settled in the community, to the care takers, the nurses, the dining staff, the facilities team and the enrichment team, everyone was helpful and respectful to my mom and dad. The entire staff always went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome and supported. At the end of their lives, not only were they always there for my mom and dad, but also for myself, my brother and his family. They took care of us and showed us so much love. I would love to name every person who touched our lives. They are truly exceptional humans. I couldn't have asked for more for my mom and dad.!
I just wanted to share my experience with Wendy Wood. She is extremely compassionate when meeting with families and seniors as they navigate this new journey that can be scary. Wendy takes the time to answer all questions and is very honest and I think that sets her a part from the "sales and marketing" world. She truly cares and wants to make sure it's a good fit for the resident but also the community. Wendy is amazing to work with. Thank you for everything.
As a geriatrician in the community, I have had the pleasure of caring for many residents of The Springs at Lake Oswego, especially those residing in Assisted Living and Memory Care. The level of care that my patients have received and the quality of life that they have experienced while living at The Springs is unparalleled. I highly recommend! - Alia Alhumaid, MD
My father became a resident at The Springs Lake Oswego in November 2019 prior to the pandemic. With the promise of independent living until end of life care, we trusted that, that would be the case with The Springs. We went through the pandemic, which I will say they handled well… But as we all know it was a very difficult time especially for seniors who for the most part were very isolated. In August of this year 2022, my dad suffered a stroke and with that came other complications. When he was able to be released and sent home for assisted care, and/or memory care, The Springs had the room in assisted care, however even with us agreeing to provide additional personal nursing services, they would not accept him back into their care leaving us high and dry. In addition, they wouldn’t even put him on a waitlist for memory care, and all to our dismay. He was a wonderful resident, everybody loved him, and we still haven’t gotten a clear explanation of why he was not even considered for this higher level of care. It took us weeks for our prayers to be answered and to find a wonderful, loving place at Murray Highland in Beaverton. However, this process blindsided us, it was extremely stressful, and extremely nerve-racking to uproot my father, move him out within a number of days, and worst of all we had nowhere for him to go. I gave them two stars, because they did do a great job for the time that my father was there, however when it came time to really depend on their care and services, they were no longer there for us. It was not just disappointing, it was heartbreaking and it was stressful. I write this review for those of you who are looking at The Springs as an option, as my father was, from independent living, to end of life. I would just be very clear, and very sure upfront what they will and will not be able to accommodate for you so that you never run into the challenges that our family has faced.
