Be sure to give 2 weeks notice before you die. They will charge $229/day even after you empty apt in assisted living thru the paid-up date. Corporate greed & mean policy at work.
Great place for mom and dad. In full disclosure I do work here. However after working in the senior industry all over I still stand by that this is one of the best places that I've seen for mom and dad. The staff here really care and go out of their way to help people. It has three levels of care independent, assisted, and memory care. They allow the seniors with the exception of memory care to have pets (in MC Family members, staff, and professional agencies bring theirs in.). Also they're allowed to garden in all three locations. They have fun activities planned daily at all three locations. The only downside, and this is in the whole senior care industry, the relief staff keep changing out. The core staff remain though and keep mom, dad, and other staff wanting to stay too.
The Springs at Clackamas Woods is, hands-down, the best senior living establishment around. After multiple visits to different senior living facilities, my mother selected The Springs as her new home. She always said, the staff and residents are so nice and caring and it feels like a hotel. She was 100% correct, though I might add a few more descriptive words: Compassion, Love, Empathy and Sincerity. The staff go over and above to accommodate the every need of the residents and make them feel loved. I cannot recommend this establishment enough if you are looking for a safe and loving home for your loved one. The Springs and all their residents are "family". The Springs feels like you are an all inclusive resort. My only regret is that I wish I could move in, but not being a senior that's not an option.
I have lived at the Springs for 8 months. After the sudden death of my husband, I knew that I needed to be around people so began looking at various independent living facilities. As soon as I walked into the inviting atmosphere of the Springs, there was a feeling like a warm hug - I definitely wanted to be here! The compassion and support of the staff and residents helped me make a smooth transition. It now feels like a family! It's a great location, the grounds are beautiful and they offer many activities, services, programs, and fun excursions. The food, cooks, and servers are wonderful as well as the drivers and maintenance crew-- and they always have a friendly smile. I have heard other residents say "living at the Springs is like being on a land cruise!"
