When we first toured The Spear Home and met with Lisa, the owner, we were most impressed with her kindness, the beautiful private care home and the non-institutional atmosphere. As a family, we decided this was a great place for Mom. Well, that is an understatement. The Spear Home was a FANTASTIC place for Mom! The care was great, the food was great, the staff was great, the sanitation was great, the joy, giggles and TLC were extraordinary. My Mom lived her final three and a half years embraced by Spear Home Angels and we are most grateful! Thank you Spear Home Angels!

My mother has the best care available here at the Spear Home. She has been here almost two months and has settled in better than I expected. She eats well here and is responding to the caregivers very positively. They care for her lovingly and with kindness, making sure all her needs are met. I cannot imagine having her anywhere else. I can sleep at night knowing she is well cared for. I highly recommend The Spear Home for your loved one who needs full time care and assistance.
My mother was a resident for two years. Her needs were met quickly by a very caring staff. The food is very good and her likes and dislikes were taken into account. A beautiful vintage home newly renovated.
This place has been a staple of the community since the 60s. The management here is comitted to quality and dignity of life for the residents, and they are treated like family. The house itself has been subjected to a beautiful restoration job, updating it to have all the modern amenities but keeping the early 1900s charm from which it was built.
My mom spent the last two months of her life here and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The staff and the home was beyond meeting our expectations. It truly allowed us to spend quality time with mom and they treated her like a queen.
