My husband was so blessed to reside at Richardson. He had terminal cancer, Parkinson n dementia. He had the most beautiful and compassionate care through out his stay.. He passed on 2 days ago The hospice care was the kindest I have observed. The carers, the nurses, the management, the lifestyle, everyone went out of their way to make my beloved husband pain free and comfortable Bless Richardson. it is the best

I have personally seen this facility to be chronically understaffed, overpriced and unsafe. They claim to be able to provide high care but from our extensive experience, this is totally untrue. Communication is poor, at times non-existent, and has even been entirely false. If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. Do not risk leaving your loved ones here. And if you do, ensure that if you have any concerns at all about the level of care being provided, advocate for your loved one. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, intervene, and document everything. Do not be left with a whole heap of questions leading to pain, devastation, and regret, as I am.
My mother entered the Richardson in October 2020 after knee surgery and then a second surgery on her leg. She was 92 years of age then (now 93) and couldn't live on her own in a big house any longer. She had physiotherapy several times a week and has made a remarkable recovery, given her age. Nine months later, she has now settled in very well. The family is very happy that she is well looked after by the fantastic staff. There are activities and functions for residents nearly every day, even movies in the theatre. Happy hour and high teas are a regular event. The meals are very good and plenty to eat. Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and patience.
Rude staffs, some even try to bully you when you do your placement there and you will see staffs backbiting about you in front of you. Couldn’t do anything as I just wanted to complete my placement and didn’t want to argue with anyone. They didn’t even give us any orientation in the beginning or any regards for being there and helping them for a month for free. 😂
Very pleased with the courteous and respectful way everyone at The Richardson has helped my mother's transition to aged care. Also very impressed with the accommodation choices, with my mother opting for a really nice suite. I look forward to this (hopefully) continued quality and respectful lifestyle for mum.
