My grandmother was a resident here and passed away during Covid. I came in and saw the new name—The Reserve. Jeff gave me a tour and it was so nice to hear and see all the updates! It was great to see Maria who was always so great with my grandmother & is always in a good and positive mood! I would STILL recommend this place for a loved one needing memory care, even more so now!

I have been chosen to interview for this senior community, but not just this one several of their communities. I think for giving me an open opportunity like that is wonderful ! Amd the staff that called me was very pleasant , and kind!
The Reserve at Braeswood (formerly Colonial Oaks Braeswood) is an ideal assisted living community specializing in memory care. My 90 year old mother has been there for almost two years and has received the best care imaginable. This community provides day-long activities seven days a week, and the activities director Maria goes out of her way to involve the residents in an amazing variety of productive, engaging, and purposeful activities. All the staff are kind, friendly individuals who take pride in their work and are sincerely engaged with the residents. My mother constantly introduces me to every employee who works with her, and she has the most positive things to say about them when they are out of earshot. Carolyn Carl is a wonderful liaison between the residents and their families, and has helped me on more than one occasion with solutions to my mother’s issues that I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish without her. The facility is immaculate and runs like clockwork, as evidenced by their effective policies and procedures during the worst of the pandemic, which they managed impressively. My mother loves the food there: and this comes from someone who was an incredible cook and who was always very demanding when it came to eating food cooked by others. I highly recommend The Reserve at Braeswood.
Colonial Oaks Braeswood has been such a huge blessing to our family. We were struggling with finding the right fit/great place for Mom (after a not great experience elsewhere), and then Colonial Oaks Braeswood was recommended to us by several people. From our first meeting, Carolyn met me with warmth, understanding and kindness, and made such a stressful and hard time easier. Carolyn and the amazing activities director Maria, and staff have continued to be wonderful and caring to Mom (and me!!). The staff at Colonial Oaks provides the personal, individualized attention our loved ones need to thrive. Mom has actually improved incredibly with their attention and care. Highly recommend checking out Colonial Oaks Braeswood for your loved one.
I don't know much about this place other than we performed there for some of the residents but it was very clean, it's super quaint the way it's arranged and decorated, the caretakers all seem very nice and on top of things. They really seem to know what they're doing! We had a great time performing for the folks and it was our pleasure to bring them a smile!
