The Post at Providence was such a blessing to my mom and family. The kind and caring staff took such good care of my mother. The family home setting was warm and comforting. There was activity but not too much. I visited mom every day and loved getting to know the caregivers and other residents. There is not a better place in Charlotte to care for your loved one.

My mom currently lives at Post Providence, and I can not say enough wonderful things about this place and it’s staff. The house can hold up to 6 residents and is beautifully equipped. At least 2 caregivers are there all the time, and sometimes 3 or 4 depending on what’s happening at the house. They take the best care of my mom and love her well. The staff has taken the time to get to know her family members, her likes and dislikes, and frequently ask about what they can do to better serve her/us. I don’t worry about my mom the way I did when she was in a larger assisted living facility. She is happy, clean, loved and eats the best I’ve ever seen her eat. The food is delicious, and they make sure and keep her favorites on hand. This place has a wonderful family atmosphere, and when one resident has a visitor, everyone gets a visitor. We all get to know each other (residents and their families), because residents spend most of their time together in the family room where everyone has their own recliner. They play games, work puzzles, sing, and have frequent celebrations for holidays and birthdays. The family atmosphere is what makes this place so comforting to my mom. They offer weekly hair washing/setting/cut/color for those who want it, as well as quarterly podiatry services (both for additional cost). LOVE this place and the positive changes I’ve seen in my mom as a result of her time here.
We were very happy with the care and love our mother received at The Post. We could rest assured that she was well taken care of. In her time there, she made many friends including many staff members whom she adored! We would recommend The Post to anyone considering a residential care home.
My daughter discovered The Post On Providence through her job at Ally Bank. We visited the beautiful home and were so impressed with the house and all of its appointments. We were thrilled at finding out that there was a new opening and grabbed it . There were only 6 residents there, my husband would be the sixth, so we knew that he would get the best care available. He entered the first of August and just passed away just before Christmas. My family and I never worried about his care there , the staff and the owners of The Post were ALWAYS so loving and considerate. He always got the best care there and we were always alerted if there was a problem. My daughter and I spent a lot of time there, daily, so we began to get to know the residents and all of the staff. We love everyone there and felt like we were a big family. I have always thought that this “care home” and its staff were a gift to us from God.. Thanks to The Post and to Hospice , my husband’s passing was without pain. They worked tirelessly to make sure that he was comfortable and that we, too, had the support we needed at that time.We never had one complaint about John’s care there at all. We couldn’t do anything about his horrible disease but we could make sure that his last months were in the best “care home’ that we could find. We were so blessed to have him there.
The Post is a wonderful place for your loved one to be. I am a volunteer here and always looks forward to coming back to be with the workers and the residents. I do various activities with the residents geared toward their interests. We play games like chess, talk, go on walks, etc. Your loved one is cared for deeply here on an individual level. All the workers here care for the residents equally and with genuine care and compassion. The atmosphere is always inviting, fun, lively, and relaxing. With the location of The Post being in a safe and great neighborhood, the residents often get to know some of the neighbors which is also a nice aspect of living at The Post. I love this place dearly.
