I thought this was a good place for mom, but it turned out to be a nightmare when my mom returned to the Point after being discharged from a rehabilitation facility. After my mom was there for four hours a CNA came up to do a body check. The Pointe knew my mom had a wound on her leg but was told she needed to leave because the wound had gotten worse. The CNA was in contact with the head nurse Marcine Brown who made the decision to not have my mom there. The CNA then told my mom who is 78 she was trespassing and needed to leave the Pointe. So they just kicked my mom out just like that. No written notice for the reason behind why they were kicking her out or even giving her to 30 days to move out. What kind of people kick out a 78 year old woman without any notice?Plus my siblings and I caught Marcine Brown in several lies and even got Angie who I thought was the nicest person there caught up in these lies. All they needed to do was be honest and upfront of the real reason why they wanted my mom out of the Pointe.

This place is an absolute gem in our neighborhood. This is the perfect place to go if you want to watch a sporting event. Or 2, as they have dozens of screens everywhere, it is an intimate location. The staff is friendly. The food is good and there are absolutely phenomenal specials. Every day of the week, I believe that Tuesday night is free. Bingo night and? They also have a nice variety of slot machines. The food was great. There's a nice variety of drinks and I hope this fit business does very well there. I would highly recommend to family and friends and I will be returning soon..
Today was my brother-in-law 's first day at the Pointe. I am beyond comfortable with this facility. Everyone has been so helpful and inviting. It is very clean and feels like home. There are many activities to keep the residents busy. Angie was absolutely amazing throughout the admission process. The nurses and CNA's are kind and always have a smile. Randy puts his whole heart into making sure the residents have fun. I cannot say enough about this facility. NO, WAIT, it is not a facility, it is a HOME, where they make the residents and their families feel comfortable, happy, and like one big family!!!!!
When you have good staff, no need to micro-manage them. No need to use intimidation tactics when managing them, also, to much favoritism in dietary. The manager is not qualified to manage such a great group of employees who work very very hard daily. There are staff who get away with things that they should not ( favoritism), hard working diligent new employees get treated unfairly and indignantly.
DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!! if I could give this place zero stars I would. I worked at this facility for 4 months and it was terrible. Management is horrible. Samantha is the worst. She does not do anything to fix this facility or try to make it right. We’ve (The CNAS) had meetings with management and things were going to change but did NOT! They do not appreciate their cnas for all their hard work. The work load is too much on one CNA & they do not care. They want to say that theses residents have their own rights when they don’t. Residents ask for room trays and they say when presented that they are allowed to have a room tray whenever they would like and that is a LIE!! So many residents here are so unhappy. They do not treat theses residents as if they are in their own “home”. Housekeeping does not clean theses rooms. They are always filthy! I recently went to visit my residents because I cared so much for them and they kicked me out just because I quit but never have I bashed this place until now. It was so uncalled for! They way they kicked me out as well was very unprofessional and I do not recommend anyone to WORK OR LIVE HERE!! PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE!!
