Recently, I had to go into this facility, to see a friend , and I was talked to , with such rudeness , by Violet , the receptionist. She started calling me names , because she didn’t like my clothing , I guess , was obviously completely intimidated by me … as I keep my body in great shape . Then she threatened me .. trying to push me out of the building… This woman should not be employed in a place where innocent aging people live !

This is my second review. Over the last few months my mother has suffered from an ongoing infection which has caused her to be more fragile and confused. During this difficult time the staff has provided excellent care to make her comfortable and feel secure, along with giving her the required medical care. Their attention to her and the situation has been a life saver and gives me the confidence she is always being well provided for at the facility. I would highly recommend Beverly Hills Carmel South. My mother (96) first came to the facility on a temporary basis to heal from a broken leg. She liked it so much that she decide to stay permanently. While the facility is not new, it is very clean, odorless and well maintained. The staff is very polite and always accommodating. They are very sweet and kind to my mother and she feels very safe which is very important to her. She also likes the food and recreational activities. The other residents are also friendly. Not to mention the location couldn't be better for medical care and seeing doctors being two blocks from Cedar-Sinai Hospital.
I have just finished helping my mother, who is 92, move into Beverly Carmel South. You know the building is attractive and well-maintained ahead of time. You hope, first, that the staff will be caring, respectful and responsive. They are. It has been great seeing how nice and considerate everyone is. The household staff only come in to clean when residents are at meals or activities. Requests for repairs, assistance or information get an immediate and helpful response. Yesterday, at lunch, mother was the only person at her table, so staff members repeatedly came over and spent a little time talking with her so she could make conversation. When she mentioned a food she liked that wasn’t on the menu that day, the staff immediately prepared it and brought it to her. And, the food is good too. Meals are generous and well-prepared from quality ingredients. Mom was looking forward to trout for dinner last night. Also, if you don’t like what is planned, you can have your choice of three alternate entrees. This is a great place for assisted living! The residents are nice and generally pretty healthy. Many have invited mother to join in activities and everybody is friendly. She is enjoying exercise class and yoga while looking forward to playing bridge and bingo. All such facilities promise friendly people, good food and fun activities; Beverly Carmel really has all of this.
A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO I WENT TO BEVERLYS CARMEL NORTH. I LOVED IT. IF IT WAS NOT SO MUCH MONEY I WOULD BE THERE TODAY. EVERYBODY WAS SO NICE, POLITE AND THE NURSES WERE SO PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE SEEN IT.
The facilities and staff are top notch. Plus they're located within walking distance to Cedars, the Beverly Center, and some of the best restaurants in LA.
