5340 Davison Rd, Burton, MI 48509, United States
I do not have a family member in this facility or any other, but I just want to let everyone be aware... my husband & I were out for an evening motorcycle ride & while heading home towards davison mi on davison road at 930 at night, there was an elderly woman with a walker in the middle of 5 lanes of traffic. We stop traffic to get her out of the road & pushed her medical alert button. A female worker from The Pines of Burton came out of the building & yelled "Marie, what in the hell are you doing outside". I will be contacting a manager in the morning and all other state agencies that can be notified. I believe that the people that spend their life savings to live in these places should have the best care possible.

I waited a while to post this review because we had been burned so badly at the first facility. Well here goes...in a nutshell, my Dad went from being isolated and uncared for to being genuinely cared for and happy at The Pines of Burton Memory Care. The director Matt and his entire staff, obviously care about the residents and their diverse needs and treat them with respect and dignity. The rooms are bright and spacious and there is a barber shop and theatre room, not to mention the excellent home cooked food! Thanks Rosa and Dion! The Pines feels so much more like a home and not an institution. Family is welcome anytime day or night and when ever we are there, which is very often, Dad is content and well groomed and as I said, genuinely well cared for. Highly recommend The Pines of Burton if you are in need of a safe place for your loved one.
Horrible facility! The director Matt and his side kick Carly are hard to get a hold of. If you need them you can usually find them outside in front of the building together. The place is filthy, unkept and strongly smells of urine. Furniture in lobby is ripped up, showers in patients rooms broken and reported to director, nothing done about it. I watched the aides take patients into others patients room to shower because theirs didn’t work, I asked and they told me that was the reason. As far as patient care the director takes no interest in the well being of them. So often they’d be short staffed at night with not enough employee to patient ratio. They definitely need to be investigated and shut down. Get a director in there that actually cares would be a start. Unbelievable
The staff are good caregivers, but not great at wearing masks. Two staff were sent home with Covid the week before my Mom and her friend (Memory Care North in Burton) got it and DIED! 6 out of 20 residents got it that time. The management and corporate leave a lot to be desired! My Mom died in December and I'm still trying to get a refund! They don't return calls. They have really let the place go the past few years.
The company that took this place over is absolutely horrible. They've raised the rent, cut spending on everything from food to the supplies they need to care for our loved ones. The only reason i gave the 2 stars i did was because of the staff. They had some really good girls working for them but the company and poor management have found a way to run them off. If you put your loved one here please keep a watchful eye on them. This isnt the same place it used to be.
