My father has only been at The Pines for day and a half so this review is a bit premature. However, the internal social worker Danielle Cavaccini was awesome. She answered every question, was attentive to what my wife and I had to say and did it all with a warm smile on her face. The front desk staff is also very welcoming.

I cannot express enough my gratitude, and appreciation for the nurses and staff at the Poughkeepsie pines. I am eternally grateful for their professionalism and care they took of my mother who was there for just over two years. As an EMT I Have been to many nursing homes from the very best to the very worst, and in my experience, the Poughkeepsie Pines Is right at the top of that List. Whenever there was an issue with my mother, they immediately called me, Whether it was her needing A shot or vaccine or she slipped out of her wheelchair. I immediately got a call. My mother was not always the easiest person to work with, but somehow they Gained her trust and truly cared for her. I would visit my mom pretty much weekly and often bring my puppies that she absolutely adored, there would be times that I would arrive and she would complain of a cough or an issue and of course I would go right down to the nurses station to See if they were going to do something about it and to my amazement, they always knew about the problem or complaint and had already started taking action before I could say anything. They would have a quarterly meeting to review patients statuses, Nurse, physical therapist, social service, Nutritionist, sometimes as much as 5 to 6 people on the phone As They would include me in their conference call to Review my mother‘s status. They We’re on top of her daily needs and long-term needs as we were all able to work together to keep my mother happy and comfortable. Again, I want to thank all the employees at the Poughkeepsie Pines for everything they did to keep my mother happy and safe. Mark Diamond
My mother was fortunate to be placed there after her knee started to give out. She LOVED this place. She had a dedicated team who tended to her every need. They were very communicative, responsive and proactive. They met her where she was. I felt so secure every day knowing she was in their care safely. She passed away of old age sadly. They were actively involved with her. They made her feel at home, seen, heard. They gave her her dignity, integrity, the respect our elders deserve. They truly cared for her. And she appreciated it every day. As did I. I HIGHLY recommend The Pines. There are fun things to do in the area as well. Thank you to everyone at The Pines! Thank you.
My mom has dementia and has been at the Pines for over a year. Everyone there is very helpful and nice. My Mom loves it.
The only down side is my mom’s roommate stole her food off her tray when she wasn’t done and it makes me worried about her stealing other things. Other wise they are amazing people who are always short staff and go above and beyond in tough situations. Thank god for nurses!!!!
