2060 Idlewood Rd, Tucker, GA 30084, United States
My mother lived at the Phoenix at Tucker for 9 months. Every one of those days was a gift for her and our family. To be sure, the facility is spotless, the meals are delicious, and the environment is comfortable and attractive. What is outstanding about this residence is the staff. Roslyn and Daryl were not just the administrators of Phoenix at Tucker, they were our compassionate guides through our journey with Mom. With the staff that they have assembled, they made a true home for my mother and the other residents. We give thanks to the receptionist at the front desk, the talented chef, entertainment coordinator, the personal aides, the med techs, maintenance team, housekeeping, and all those other wonderful people who welcomed our mother and our family into the warm environment which exists each day at the Phoenix. We are grateful for the relationship you had with Mom. She truly loved you all. I would recommend the Phoenix at Tucker without qualification. Our mother was safe, comfortable, happy, and active through her final days. She was treated with love and respect.

I cannot say enough good things about this community. Both my grandparents were residents here for several years. They were treated so well by the staff and I am so appreciative of the care they gave them.
Rosalyn is amazing and her staff really care about her staff. She will do whatever it takes to ensure that each resident is well cared for...as if they were her own mother. Example, more than once, when they were short-handed (same as everyone else in the industry), Rosalyn took care of my mother-in-law that had an accident--getting her cleaned up and into fresh clothes. Darryl is great in making sure that the nursing side is taking care of and is extremely tactful as he helps families navigate the challenges with parents whose mind/bodies are breaking down. The facility is nice and clean and the park in back is very lovely with all the fruit trees, flowers, and water features. They have daily activities and are able to motivate my mother to attend. Also, they have holiday festivities that the seniors and their families all seem to enjoy. Yes, both my mother and mother-in-law reside at The Phoenix. It is a good place. When things go wrong, and they will--i.e. folks fall, get sick, etc. They always do their best to notify families and make things right if necessary. To me, this is truly the mark of a solid organization--not perfection-but, acknowledging, and fixing things when they go wrong. The only thing I notice is that the awning in front was hit by a tall truck and has not been repaired/repainted for at least a year. Also, the door that are to hide garbage dumpsters have been in disrepair--both of which are cosmetic and very easy fixes but may give prospective residents a bad first impression.
My father had been living by himself for quite awhile and he was slowly failing when I convinced him to move into assisted living. Asking around about facilities in my area, the Phoenix at Tucker was consistently mentioned and highly recommended. I felt very good after my visit - the place was not too small, not too big and it had a lively atmosphere with people meeting and chatting and laughing. Not depressing at all. My father's health and frame of mind showed a huge improvement after moving in. There were tons of activities, he made friends but most importantly, the staff would incredibly nice and sincerely concerned about him - housekeeping, kitchen staff, caregivers, admin, everyone was kind, friendly, positive and upbeat. After ten months, I feel confident that my father's quality of life was greatly improved and I'm sure the community at the Phoenix added six months to his life. When my time comes, I hope I can find a place as warm, welcoming and interesting as the Phoenix.
I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the positive difference regarding the resident care and staff management during the last few months of my mom’s residence (02/2021 - 08/2022) at the Phoenix Senior Living at Tucker. When the Executive Director, Rosyln Jones, began her role she immediately implemented positive changes throughout Phoenix from the staff to care expectations and everything in between. My family and I immediately noticed an improvement in my moms overall care which I strongly believe was the effect of Roslyn's leadership. Roslyn always went out of her way to make sure our family felt supported with the care of my mom. Her empathy, passion, and commitment for her work was impeccable and allowed our family time to focus on much needed quality time with my mom. If you are looking to place your loved one at this facility, I recommend you speak with staff members beyond the Community Engagement Director position. A conversation with various staff members may provide the guidance you need to make an informed decision for your loved one. My family has had many warm conversations and built healthy relationships with many staff members which furthered our comfort level the last few months.
