Thank you to the owner or owners of the Lexington for your previous comment on my previous post. Where I'm staying at right now it's not an easy place nothing comes free I have to work for everything I do other people's jobs at least three other people that should be doing their jobs but I have to clean up after them when they work on the weekend as well as fixing their mistakes because they do not do things by the book. And they are very rude to the clients which is an unexcusable issue and the clients here are old people and most of them if not all have very negative things to say about three staff including the director and I'm starting to see what they're saying because I'm going through the same thing and I think the owners here see the same thing so I am asking for a little directive maybe a little bit of help... We don't have enough staff technically so if anyone wants to look for additional work and is good at what they do as well as dealing with the clients please I ask you to come apply here because I cannot do everything by myself and I am sick and tired of it I do not get paid for this and when I do it doesn't all come to me in the way it's handed if you know what I mean. We are located at Bayshore lodging in keyport New Jersey they can always Google it. And I am not looking to stay here forever I consider this only temporary it's a nice place it's clean because I clean it no one else does and I do everything else under the sun I got rid of the bed bugs there are no bugs. A friend of mine who has no family lives there. He can't live on his own, however, he is not a druggie. He's actually exceptionally intelligent. When he moved in, he was told he would get a monthly allowance from his SS but never saw one cent of that money for almost 2 years. He was told he "owed" it for whatever payment I don't know. Two years with not one cent and they knew he didn't have any family to provide for him. How can you do THAT? I, and a couple of other church members gave him the only money he got for those years so he could take the bus to church. I am not family, nor do I have power of attorney so I couldn't speak with anyone on his behalf. He has dealt with bedbugs and mice - I gave him mouse traps - and the place is.... Well, let's just say I went inside the main lobby twice; that was two times too many. He prefers living there to where he was before because he has freedom to come and go (take the bus to church, walk to stores, etc.), and as of summer 2024, they have a new social director and he says she's great - so that's good. I did speak with a woman at the main desk one day. She was nice and did know (out of the MANY residents who live there) who my friend was, so that's a plus. They will receive and deliver mail to the residents but will NOT mail outgoing letters for them. I guess a homeless person might prefer this to being on the streets, but I pray for the residents and staff alike. It's horribly sad. I wish they would clean the place up.
Hello I live here don't like it . The room cleaners go through your stuff. They threw a lot of my stuff away on me which some of it i had for years.this stuff was in my dresser draw. I didn't know they could go through closed drawers.
I tried plenty of times to resolve many issues here. I called to talk to the owner or even leave my number to discuss the matters at hand and I was told he would never speak to you. This place is a hot a@& mess and something needs to be done about it. I feel bad for the people who don’t have a family that can fight on their behalf. Why are they keeping the residents money if they don’t come get it at that very minute. Debbie tried to hold my daughters money one time because she thought my daughter owed someone else money. I drove 2hrs and needless to say when I got there she gave her her money. A lot of these people are on meds and may sleep through the time but instead of holding it for them they refuse to give it to them for that week which means now they have to go at least a week without getting their own money that they are due. I’m going to look into this and make sure something is done. Just think of how many people money they are keeping. I will do a follow up post because I already called the state , Ssi and Medicade to get to the bottom of this.
Been here since Nov. 7, 2023. Residents are medicated yet still symptomatic. Several have violent tendencies. I've had to call LPD to file charges against one such resident. I was homeless before this, so I honestly had no choice in the way things went with placement.
