I was at The Manor of Novi for two weeks. During that time, I got to know most of the staff and residents there. It's clean and the food is good. If I need to go into rehab again, I will be choosing The Manor.

Everyone has different experiences. Mine at The Manor of Novi was wonderful. The staff was helpful in so many ways. Ms. Christina Rowe, the social worker went out of her way to make sure my friend had all she needed. The floor staff, nurses, aids and support were there for the helpful things we needed for my friend‘s final days in hospice. The facility was clean, well kept up and did not have that nursing home smell. Lisa at the front desk always greeted me with a smile and kind words. The whole staff didn’t mind when my dogs joined me for a visit. April, the nurse i dealt with the most is a treasure. Anyone there is lucky to have her on the shift. Look the place over, don’t judge on reviews alone. The Manor of Novi is a great place to trust with your love one’s care.
II couldn’t have chosen a better facility for my Mom. Absolutely the BEST! My Mom is happy, comfortable and content which means a lot! I never have to worry about the safety of my Mom. She’s in great hands, especially with the recent pandemic when the facility was closed for in person visits. I was able to communicate by FaceTiming, visit through the window. All the staff treats her and all residents like family. My Mom thinks of them as her family, and they are! They are friendly, definitely compassionate, caring and always available to answer any questions. My Mom is dressed every day, she’s clean, her hair always looks nice. There’s a beauty shop at the facility with a beautician. When I used to take her out for Doctors appointments, a drive, the Dairy Queen, etc., she would say when we got back, “ It feels good to be home”. The facility is always clean. The floors are so clean that they shine! They decorate for all occasions/seasons. The facility organize events for the residents. I’m looking forward to the “Petting Zoo” next week. There’s an awesome activities room. They encourage residents to participate. The women get their nails done, ice cream socials, art, music, Santa comes with real reindeer, so much more. Very creative activities. Encourages family participation as well. The medical staff - AWESOME! The office staff - Always helpful and AMAZING! The physical therapy team are incredibly patient and has helped my Mom gain strength, walk, talk and gain a little independence back. The social workers are awesome. I’m always getting updates. The communication is great. The kitchen staff (Food is great), maintenance staff (Always friendly), laundry staff (Great job keeping Moms clothes clean), I can go on and on about how amazing The Manor of Novi is. I want to Thank EVERYONE there for taking such good care of my Mom and confirming that I made the best choice for her. We are blessed for sure!
Our entire family has been with my grandmother around the clock since being admitted, and witnessing the neglect my grandmother endured at this facility unacceptable. To begin, the employees couldn't lift my 90 pound grandmother, after her shower stool was left all over her bottom and back, on Easter she was left in a wheelchair down the hall from her room with no supervision, another patients personal clothing was put on her, and when she said she was still hungry they wouldn't bring her anything more to eat. This all happened while us being there. I can only imagine what happens to patients that don't have family constantly coming in and out. It's devastating to see the help button get clicked and no one come into the room to meet her needs. The final straw was when they allowed her to fall after she just had hip surgery. This fall caused her hip screws to shift. This put her back into the emergency. It's a difficult situation seeing your loved one in a home, let alone a home like this. Thank God she is no longer here. Don't bring your loved ones here because there is nothing but neglect here for them. If you try to communicate with any of the staff about these matters, they will vocally laugh in your face. This facility needs to be shut down.
Place looks sad and run down (unfortunately all nursing homes are) but has the most caring staff I have seen in long time. After my son was assigned there I checked the reviews and was terrified. Reality is it’s 180 degrees opposite! Entire staff went way beyond their duty to help, always friendly and cheerful. The wound nurse (not sure that I got her name right: ms. Masy or Marsy? So sorry no one can say my name correctly so I know exactly how it feels) and Christina Rowe were exceptional. I realize that majority of people writing reviews never an ax to grind and sometimes it’s justified but we have to give credit when it’s due. I had the best experience in the worst of moments and I’ll take good people over old facility any time. Thank you so much for all you do and god bless!
