My mother who is very independent is very happy living at the Magnolia. When she moved in she was in a wheel chair with a broken vertebrae. The excellent physical therapy group now has her walking with very little assistance with a cane. Mom loves all the field trips and activities that are planned in and away from the Magnolia. Rebecca plans all the activities and does an outstanding job. She also takes the group to Kroger and Walmart when needed and stays with them the entire time inside the store. She is amazing. The Magnolia also takes her to her doctors appointments, hair appointments, etc. I live 7 hours away and it’s very difficult for me to be there for her. She brags on the very caring and attentive nursing staff. They dispense her medicine for her reorder prescriptions, etc. mom loves the dining service, she can sit down with her friends and order from a menu for all three meals which are excellent by the way. I have had a few meals there myself. She loves having her apartment cleaned every week and her bed changed too. Mom is thriving at the Magnolia and I am at peace that she is not living in her home alone. I highly recommend the Magnolia with the exceptional administration, nursing, etc. you will be very happy but mostly your aging parent will too.

As a resident of the Magnolia at the Commons, the care provided here has exceeded my expectations, as well as those of my family. Much needed physical therapy was quickly provided ‘in house’, as well as a daily exercise class which is excellent and provides appropriate seated exercise, range of motion exercises, and balance strengthening. There are numerous daily activities throughout the day, and a strong sense of community. The atmosphere here is very positive and upbeat. The food is excellent and balanced with a chef who takes pride in providing food which appeals to all residents. My family and I have been more than pleased with our choice for me to reside at the Magnolia. karen Winter
The Magnolia in Oxford is an exceptional place. It gives a very warm, holy feeling and has a huge spacious dining area. Walking in the door, the front desk always treats you with kindness. The residents always seem happy, and the staff from top to bottom take pride in what they do. Rooms are very spacious and kept very clean.
A chair has been holding my mother’s French doors closed for almost a year & I’ve asked repeatedly for it to be fixed. Have also asked for my mother to get help bathing weekly, which is an offered service, but that never happens and she smells awful and has sores all over her arms and legs because of it. Garbage is emptied but help the time no replacement bag put in so the can becomes disgusting. I visit once a week & usually take home 2 baskets of laundry with me. I have no number to call this place in off hours if my mom isn’t answering her phone and I’m worried. I left a positive review after they changed hands because I was asked to but have removed it. I have other issues and am looking into just moving her in with me. The people who work here are very nice and I appreciate that. She doesn’t need constant care and at least I could feed her and help her shower for much less than nearly $5,000 a month.
I am currently looking into assisted living communities; the Magnolia at Oxford Commons is top on my list. I really love the town and the staff were all so nice. I loved talking to a very sweet lady, Lisa Wells. She was very helpful and friendly. One of the many things I am looking for.
