My mother has been a resident of the Madison for 3 years, and her and my family have nothing but praise for this facility. It is beautifully kept and the staff is so caring to the residents. Kelela, the Resident Services Director, is such an amazing lady! She treats every resident as if they are part of her family and does her job with such enthusiasm and love. Todd, the director, is always available to help with questions or solve any issues the residents or their families may have. His dedication and care is second to none! Our family sleeps well at night knowing my mother is being cared for by such wonderful people at an amazing facility. Thank you, Madison Senior Living!!!
My father-in-law and mother-in-law moved into The Madison Assisted Living on March 1, 2024. The entire staff has been caring and supportive since the day they moved in. An example of this is my father-in-law passed away in June in the morning. Two nurses sat with my mother-in-law until I could get there after he passed. The staff really goes above and beyond to support and guide family members that are experiencing a new journey. We initially met with Todd and were impressed with facility. I have visited my family member twice in June and already once this July. I’ve been disappointed each time. The kitchen was extremely under staffed. There was an inconsistency in the food orders. For example, one person ordered a double decker Turkey sandwich just as I did. I was only given a Turkey sandwich while the other person received the correct one. The one good part was a woman named Terry (?) I think she’s a chef? She was helping the one server you had there. She was very friendly and I appreciated her patience considering how rude some of the residents became. They were right about wanting the food to arrive faster. However, that isn’t possible when you barely have a staff. That’s definitely not a reason to treat these women harshly. This is not the service I expected when I chose the Madison! I’m thinking I should probably take my family with me when we want to spend our day and enjoy our meal together.
I have worked with The Madison on several occasions. As a professional down sizer, I have had to work closely with the staff to coordinate move in details for clients. Everyone there is quick to respond and help. They truly care about their residents, and want to provide a place that feels like home. I have worked most closely with Kelela. She is so warm and so capable. She goes above and beyond to make The Madison a positive, caring, and really fun community. If there was a way to give her more than 5 stars, I absolutely would.
