Assisted Living side may be fine; but DO NOT put your relative in the Memory Care section. My Aunt had three UTIs in a year and a half. They would put two diapers on her at one time. There was feces on the chairs. My aunt had no matching shoes by the time she was moved out. She went in weighing 195, and when she was removed, she weighed 129. 66 lbs down in 18 months. She is now being taught at her new facility how to feed herself and retraining on bathroom use. It's amazing what food and attention will do for a person.

My mother has resided at the Legacy of North Myrtle Beach for a little less than a year. The decision to move her to the Legacy has been a great one for her and our family. Her health, both physically and emotionally, has improved. When we visit, she has nothing but positive things to say about the kind and caring staff, the activities, and the food. I often visit on the weekends since I live out of town, but it doesn't matter, the staff is always attentive and personal. They know her, they engage with her, and they make sure she is safe and happy. I spent 20 years of my life managing retirement communities, and I can honestly say that the Legacy of NMB is the finest one I have ever encountered!
Moving our mother to The Legacy has been nothing but a blessing. Mom’s anxiety a year ago had grow into a helpless level. With her family, living out of state, we worried greatly about her. Mom’s move to The Legacy has brought her much needed contentment. The dedicated staff has embraced our mom with open arms since her first day. She has received notable medical and personal care which was desperately needed for anxiety and weight gain. It has become her home away from home. She has made friends and participates in the various activities that promote her social interactions on a daily basis. The Legacy is a source of exceptional comfort for us all.
This facility is absolutely FILTHY DISGUSTING! And cannot contact ANYONE from Navion concerning the issues. There are FECES on EVERY piece of furniture in the Memory wing and visitors are forced to stand to visit! There is such a strong smell of urine when you walk into that wing and it draws flies! The shoes of the residents are caked with dirt just from walking on their floors I had to scrape the bottoms before washing. Breaks my heart everytime i walk out of there!
My mother has been a resident at Summit Place for almost a year now, and her overall health and attitude has improved immensely. The staff and management team are top notch and always stay on top of any problems that arise with Mom. They make sure that the residents are engaged in numerous activities every day of the week, and really excell on holidays with special meals and entertainment that you would normally expect at local ticketed events. They routinely change the decorations to match the seasons and spirit of the holidays to add a festive feeling as soon as you walk through the front door. The dispensing of medication is done precisely and professionally, with a system that appears to be without any room for error. All these factors together have given my wife and me immeasurable peace of mind, and we want thank Tommy, Holly, Roberta, Gen, and all the wonderful caring staff for their outstanding commitment to excellence.
