The Kensington is a wonderful place, full of caring people, and I felt like my mom was with family. Not only was my mom happy, but I also felt like she was safe and loved. It's never easy to know what to do as our parents age, but the best I can hope for is if they are in a place where they can live their best life while being cared for. I appreciated that the Kensington had many ways to keep residents engaged, they interact regularly with the residents, and they knew my mom and made her feel loved and supported. They did better than I could have done on my own, so that meant that I had the energy to be there for my mom as her daughter rather than a caregiver, which is what I wanted it to be. A huge thank you to all the wonderful people who make the Kensington a place where people can call it home and everyone family.

The Kensington is a wonderful place for a loved one to reside. The staff is friendly, warm and welcoming. Everyone always has a smile for you, and the staff go out of their way to help. They show warmth and kindness that is evident in everything they do. The Kensington has engaging activities and the staff communicate very well with each as well as the family. My father is always clean and well groomed. They make it look easy but my father was in another assisted living that was very poorly managed and the staff was uncaring and I've seen first hand how bad it can be. The Kensington makes it look easy but they are doing a lot of magic behind the scenes to be such a well oiled machine that caters to the resident and the family. The Kensington is everything I thought an assisted living should be. Moving my father here was the best decision I have ever made and my only regret is not moving him sooner.
Attentive, cheerful and caring staff, quality care, engaged leadership….this is where you want your loved one for enhanced assisted living. My mom spent her final years at the Kensington, and her living there was always a great source of comfort to me and my family. We visited often and saw first-hand the close attention she (and other residents) received. My mom grew to have great affection for her aides and nurses, another very good sign she was treated with care and kindness.
I attended the 13th Year Anniversary Party and the event was a microcosm of The Kensington as a whole. Brenda and the leadership staff were warm and friendly, and the food was delicious! So nice to learn of the upcoming events The Kensington makes available to build community for its residents and their families.
Clean, spacious, and extremely well-maintained facility. The rooms, dining and common areas have every amenity a resident and visitor would need for a comfortable stay. The staff is excellent, and they constantly communicate in order to meet your family member's needs. The Kensington has every service one may require in assisted living, including various on-site doctors, nurses, physical/occupational therapy, and aids who capable of providing any level of care. The facility is also literally next door to the White Plains Hospital - a crucial factor which would definitely be agreed upon by those who have gone through the assisted living process with a family member.
