The entire staff at The Homestead at Anoka are wonderful. They constantly worked above the call of duty. Everyone was always cheerful, helpful, and took good care of my mother. I have been to several care centers, Homestead stands above them, cleaner, better staffed, more friendly. They work hard to make the place feel like a home. I also appreciate the Christ center atmosphere. I have requested my family to place me there if I need care.

“ DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!! “ This place looks beautiful but NO ONE gets the care they need. There are no safe guards for people at risk of falling.. No legally blind safeguards and communication. No one comes when buzzed, actually it doesn’t buzz it just lights up. No communication between aids, kitchen staff, nurses & family. I could rattle off a list of things that occurred…. We will never take a love one to this place!!! This place rates a 0 and I’m beginning generous. They never contacted me after this review! I called them! I wish I could send a picture of my father’s sheet and tee shirt and blood on the recliner. He fell and no one came! He scooted his self around the bed, not sure how he got into bed., he didn’t tell anyone because he wanted to get out of there. They don’t care about patients!
My mother lives at The Homestead in Assisted Living and overall, I think she enjoys living there. Her 2 major complaints are trying to find staff members when you need them and the dining experience/food. I was there in the TCO 5 years ago and will admit my top 2 complaints were staffing and food also. I arrived the week of Christmas and they were EXTREMELY understaffed and the food was barely edible. So it's interesting that 2 totally different experiences in one facility would result in the same complaints.
I have worked here for a cumulative 11 years. I started out working on the floor on both short term rehabilitation (STR), and long- term care. I managed for 3 years on STR, and now work as the nursing director. I love my job, and the people that i work with are my family. I believe in the mission and the drive of this facility. There are multiple nursing staff members that have worked here for over 20 years. I have worked at other nursing care facilities and the Homestead at Anoka is the best. We are a 4-star quality measures facility, and we are aiming for 5/5. I want to give a shout out to the entire staff, but especially our amazing nursing staff on the great work that you all do, thank you!!
This a very clean and modern facility. The staff are friendly and accommodating to meet the needs of the residence. They have in-house OT and PT services and an active Life Enrichment department that provides a wide variety of activities.
