I gave 3 stars because some of the employees were 5 star employees but others were 1 star at best. The 5 star care workers were professional and carried out their duties conscientiously. Others wouldn't clean a dish if it had been left by the previous person. Although I was told that the aides would provide meals, many of them were unable to cook a simple meal like tomato soup (from a can) and grilled cheese. I hired The HomeAides for 12hr/12hr shifts for full 24 hour care so a lot of care workers were involved. I would recommend to the company that when following a 12hr/12hr split shift, they allow 5-10 minutes for transition so that the outgoing aide can update the incoming aide. I will add that the training supervisor did make several visits to the home to observe new employees. She was professional and responsive.

The HomeAides caregiver and administrative staff were great and very helpful. The caregiver was prompt and started right away. She took great care of my mom after her hip replacement. The one thing that could be improved in the timeliness of the HomeAides refunds. It took over a month for my parents to be refunded the excess that they paid upfront for the caregiver.
When I suddenly needed a home health aide overnight I was so pleased to find The Home Aides who were able to immediately place someone and were great to work with. Also, the aide would be driven to and from the assignment so that having car problems was never going to be a problem. The aides were very nice and did their jobs well.
Our family is very pleased with the service we received from Homeaides for the past 3 years. My cousin was assisted by a wonderful helper, Akua Afriyie, during that entire time. Akua went out her way to make my cousin, Joan, comfortable, happy and safe. She attended to her every need on a 24/7 hour basis. She was cheerful, patient and professional under challenging circumstances. We were able to keep Joan in her home only because of the dedication of Akua. We considered her as a member of our family and we are going to miss her. I cannot recommend her higher. It has become necessary to move Joan to a memory care facility and we are sad that Akua is no longer with us. Whoever has Akua assist him/her will be very fortunate. I might add that the staff at Homeaides has been exceptional. They have always demonstrated a high level of professionalism and have been responsive and understanding.
I was impressed with the capability of my aides. They were a great help to me in getting organized and settled back home after rehab.
