My wife and I moved to Hacienda about two months ago and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. After looking at more than six senior living locations Hacienda came the closes to meeting our needs. It has all of the activities one could ask for as an active senior. The staff is great and the food choices are fantastic. The swimming pool is kept at the right temp and the physical work out room has all of the best equipment. There are so many more things that have made our new home perfect for us but I do have one complaint. It’s difficult to get salt out of any of the salt shakers. But my doctor is happy about that.

We just had a wonderful overview of the Hacienda at Mission San Luis Rey. The staff seems fantastic and the facility only 1 year old and in great condition. The decor and architecture are classic and beautiful as befits the historic setting. I look forward to finding out more about this lovely community. Pam, Nenette and Michael are each very impressive as Directors. I will definitely recommend this community and hope to live here one day myself.
We stopped by Hacienda Independent/Assisted Living, in Oceanside, CA, to pick up a brochure. Even though we had no appointment, we were graciously received by Nannette, who made us feel most welcome. Nanette gave us a wonderfully detailed tour of the beautifully appointed Hacienda grounds and resident housing. We were very much impressed with everything we saw. We met several residents who remarked about how happy they were, that they chose to reside at Hacienda. Our time visiting Hacienda, and meeting Nanette, was a very positive experience. If you are looking for a place to enjoy your senior years, we recommend that you check out Hacienda. Update: April 17, 2025. We attended a wonderful and informative lecture on "Making Informed Decisions". A most appropriate and timely presentation, at Hacienda. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Nanette, as we entered, and then escorted to the classroom. This was a very nice "Light Lunch & Learn" event. After, we stayed for Hacienda's Karaoke scheduled activity. We were welcomed by these happy & upbeat residents, and had a very fun time interacting with, and getting to know them, while trying out a little Karaoke. We did ask how they enjoyed living at Hacienda. Each person we spoke with were very positive about how they really enjoyed living at Hacienda, and, how it was definitely the right decision for them. This was definitely another positive experience, at Hacienda. The staff and residents, both, seem very happy, thus, promoting a most positive atmosphere, which is what we encountered. Again, Nanette, and staff, thank you, for your wonderful hospitality.
Upon entering, it feels like you're walking into an upscale hotel, complete with your own custom apartment and a variety of lavish restaurants. They also have an activities team that consistently creates unique events, including weekly parties, bingo, poker, karaoke, special event dinners, and much more. We really enjoy the Hacienda Mission San Luis Rey.
I had the opportunity to tour the Hacienda with Michael and was thoroughly impressed. The community is stunning, beautifully incorporating elements of the Mission San Luis Ray while offering extensive amenities and activities. I was particularly impressed by the staff's ability to engage residents, even in the memory care unit. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Additionally, the rooms are spacious and filled with natural light. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
