My 72 year-old grandmother stayed here and was handled with care! Everytime my family came to visit, she would relay to us the funny and nice stories she had while being taken care of by the staff at the Grove! And while we are visiting, the staff always accomadates us as well. We were worried about leaving our grandmother in an assisted living facility, but the Grove has not given us any regrets! Thank you to the staff working there for taking care of my grandmother well!

Firstly, I have only experienced kind people doing a great job. Secondly, I would like to say I am Vegan. Which some facilities have trouble with my diet. At other facilities I have been told the best we are able to do is Vegetarian for you. Here at the Grove they have gone out of their way to accommodate my diet. All the staff in the kitchen are very polite. Irma the kitchen manager has really put her best effort into serving great food which I may request. The food has been fantastic! Third, housekeeping is great. Another person who stands out as far as being willing to help anyone she can is Gabby. Gabby is always working hard for the facility. She is very helpful also polite. Furtheremore, the receptionists are polite as well as being willing to help in any way they are able to.The driver for the Grove was very helpful when I moved in. Finally, Jorge with other staff members have been extremely accommodating.
The doctor for our 93-year-old father put in writing that he should not live alone after falling three times in two months. We searched for a facility that he would be comfortable in. The Grove is two blocks from my business and four blocks from my home. The price was low and Dad liked that there was an independent living apartment with two balconies. I have nothing negative to say about the facility or the staff. In the two and a half months he was there, the staff kept an eye on Dad and when he fell the last time and had a severe concussion, they were there immediately, even though it was around midnight. Before the last fall, he was socializing in the dining room, played bingo, even danced (as best as he could with a walker) at the Christmas party. Dad died peacefully in his sleep. I could not imagine a better passing for our father, even during covid. My many thanks go out to all at the Grove those who helped us these last few months.
This place killed my mom. In 2020, she was there after a procedure so she could rehabilitate. She had been there 3 weeks, and the doctor only came once to see her. We were by her side at all hours of the day and even then we could see they did not care for her properly. When they closed the doors at the start of the pandemic, we know they neglected her. Long story short, she got a staph infection, the nurses and the doctor ignored it, we could not see her because the doors were closed due to COVID. By the time I forced my way in demanding to see her, they had not checked her vitals in so long that she had fever, no oxygen to her brain and was already starting the process of dying. I demanded they call an ambulance and get her to the hospital and they still gave me push back. By the time they took her, she ended up septic and died. This, within only 3 days of us not being able to be with her, and in their sole care. She was only 65. Don’t take your loved ones there.
My dad moved here about a month ago and the move-in experience was great. Perla, Jorge, Alberto, and the rest of the staff have all gone above and beyond to ensure it was a smooth transition. I feel they genuinely care about the well-being of their residents and their families. The communication has been great thus far and I appreciate all the care they have given my dad during such a critical time.
