My grandmother is a resident here and I must say the nursing staff here are outstanding. Though, I was informed the other day that the pay is barely enough to survive off of in this economy. Our healthcare workers deserve fair pay for taking care of our loved ones ❤️
I’ve been working at the Goldton for almost a year now as the Wellness Director, and I absolutely love it. The residents and staff are a blast to be around and work with. We give loving and quality care to all of our residents. I couldn’t see my self working anywhere else but here. Great place for your loved ones if you are looking for assisted living, it’s a very homely and family environment.
This place is borderline elderly abuse. I talked to the regional office, and nothing was done to fix the issues. Don't let your loved ones live here. My mother lived here for 6 months and in that time, they forgot her lunch twice and the aid that forgot the lunch confronted her in her room about it - the aid was never reprimanded. There has been repeated med errors, and when you talk to the head nurse and manager all you will hear is sorry and we will handle it internally. Nothing is ever done to correct the staff errors which I have all recorded on video and which has been shown to the manager and head nurse. All they care about is the rent money and the additional money just to administer medication which is $625 and if you need further care like insulin, you can expect another $625, which are all level of care tiers in their system. They have no oxygen for emergencies and no defibrillator, and it would take an aid or nurse one half hour to get to you in an emergency. All this has been documented. There is so much more.
The staff at The Goldton at Southaven are top notch! You will not find a better place for your loved one to stay. The extra care they take, and the fun they have to make their stay more enjoyable is simply amazing!
