I recently had the pleasure of touring this community and was truly impressed. It’s clean, warm, and inviting—with a classic feel complemented by thoughtful, modern touches. The care team is attentive and genuinely kind-hearted, and the overall atmosphere feels like home. I also had the chance to sample the food, which was excellent! Ellis gave us a wonderful tour—informative, welcoming, and thorough. It was clear how much pride he takes in the community and the care they provide. As someone who helps families find the right senior living options through my company, Senior Living Placement, I always look for communities that combine quality care with a strong sense of compassion and comfort. This one absolutely stands out, and I would confidently recommend it to the families I work with.

This is the best place to live. In my case, I opted for the best option with lots of freedom and only five minutes from Mayo Clinic, with the best doctors, as competent as Manhattan NYC. No regrets with my decision. I disposed of most of my problems as a still agile, clear-minded person. More happy now with 1/10 of the concerns of living and doctors of Manhattan in the best hospitals, but not interested in the high risk of death of an elderly. This is my new home. The Gables of Jacksonville is a lovely place for all seniors. Courtney the director of nursing is so welcoming and very caring. The environment is beautiful and the building is well kept. The residents are lovely and interact with each other in a friendly way. The food is delicious and the staff genuinely cares about the well being of the residents!
The staff are wonderful. Courtney Robinson, DON is caring, knows her staff. Joyce Latimer ED has truly embraced the building, residents and family. A place to consider for your loved ones care.
Joyce and Ellis are such a dynamic team that truly care about their residents and create a family feel for their residents to call home.
