For the past 25 years I have been coming to The Fountains of Melbourne for one reason or another. And you’d think I would know everything there is to about them know by now. Yet, every time I visit, I’m surprised by something new — whether it is an innovative approach to take something from great to greater, or a unique act of compassion that I haven’t seen anywhere else. It amazes me that, even after all these years, they continue to impress me. It’s a rare quality in any community, and they set a high bar for others to follow.

We have hurricanes in FL, this building is concrete and as safe as it gets. We have 2 generators so we never lose power. We have a dedicated staff that remain on property during hurricanes to take care of us. Your own family can evacuate here if they choose. [they just have to bring their own food.] We still have 3 hot meals a day. The transportation is better than any place else, meal hours longer, and enough varied activities to mean you have to choose the ones you want to do. Both Assisted Living and Independent can to participate in any activities they are physically able to do. You will find friends as quickly as you want, but no one will force you if you want to be left alone. You have a Housekeeper once a week, and Maintenance is responsive to your needs.
I was pleasantly surprised with The Fountains. The staff we encountered were friendly, the atmosphere was positive, and, for me, the dining facility was over-the-top nice. It didn't feel like an assisted living facility, but more like a luxury hotel.
We really enjoy the management and staff here. Everyone seems very caring and kind. Our only true complaint is the distance to the parking areas. We agreed to live here without visiting here first, so didn't realize the distance to our car, but would have probably chosen The Fountains anyway because it's the best in this area.
We love this facility for our family member! The staff is so positive, happy and helpful and my mother in law loves everything about the place! Thanks for watching out for her when cannot be there!
