My husband and I have been visiting the Forest at Duke for many years, in preparation for choosing where to spend our future years. We moved in 3 months ago, and it has exceeded all our expectations. The residents and staff have all been welcoming and helpful; the activities are varied and so numerous we can't take advantage of them all; the building and grounds are lovely and well-maintained; and the food is delicious! Friend of mine indicates there are issues with rainwater in her parent’s apartment and problem has recurred several times. Her parent has had tarps hanging and dust in her living space for weeks on end. Meanwhile new construction continues!! Makes me feel sad. She deserves better!!!!
You all treat your married couples unfairly by separating them when you do not see that they love each other. All you and all other places like this one promote infidelity and wrong , also you prevent your families to see the warm and vitamin D sun light , your activity director and assistants do not take your families out for walks which is need for everyone. Your aides and nursing assistants need to be patient and nicer to your families who choose to live at your facility. I believe you have forgotten who pays your salary these people / families that have come to live in your establishment --don't for get that. Also you need administrators and owner need to get out of your offices and greet your families each and every day no matter what your schedule looks like. These families pay your salary and need to know YOU CARE ABOUT THERE WELL FARE . I AM ANGRY EVERY TIME I COME TO VISIT MY FAMILY MEMBERS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT THERE LOVE LIFE. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR WAYS OF WORKING AT THIS FACILITY. HAVE A GOOD DAY.
