I went to the Enclave for sub-acute rehabilitation after hernia surgery. Initially, I was heavily dependent on staff for my needs. Unfortunately, I had diarrhea and was left to sit in it for 2 or 3 hours at a time. I remember trying to lift myself up so I wouldn't be laying in it. A woman staff member told me that I have to lay down or I'll get the linen dirty. Can you imagine? The sheets were the priority not me. Eventually I developed a sore bottom (probably infected) and their solution was to lift me off the guerney and clean me up with something that felt very rough. It was extremely painful and it felt like torture. Once I got stronger, things turned around and I had a great nurse that tended to my surgical wound. The maintenance team was great and kept the floors clean. Rehab workers and Dr. Jacob were great. It is a mixed bag, but if you plan to go there incapacitated... you may want to find another place. I've been reading that many places are understaffed (perhaps profit over people?) and so it is not unusual for neglect to happen. I also think that some of the direct care staff may need more training. When asked, I was told that Medicare covered the stay. What I was never told was that Medicare only covered 20 days. Even though I didn't know that, I found myself feeling well enough to go home (even a rehab worker observed that I was ready) and I tried to leave several days before I was allowed to. Were they concerned with filling the bed first? Most people there were helpful and I can't account for why I was neglected when I needed care the most. If I find myself in the same circumstances I will most certainly never go back there if I can help it.

My father was a patient for 2+ months and he received great care. The nurses, orderlies, PT staff were all kind, happy and caring. There were some sundays with light staff and i did need to constantly advocate for my dad. He got several infections which i think is common in a busy facility. He got IV with antibiotics for several issues. Our only serious complaint was when a substitute Dr took out my dads catheter without asking the family. My dad became weak over night and it took 4 days before i could get it returned. But otherwise, they were caring, attentive and ran tests as needed. It’s not just a rehab, as they have an excellent full time Dr and strong medical staff. The rooms are small and dark but the cheerfulness of the staff makes up for the age of the facility. Lots of entertainment and most of all great PT staff.
Actually not to happy with where the patience eat the first day I didn't notice because I tried feeding my mom in her room. The second day I was so disappointed because there was no supervision at dinner time. It was incredible the amount of patience that didn't eat. Thank God the 3rd day for dinner there was supervision. I known they can't not feed them, but at least try to motivate them, which they did that day. I was visiting from Florida my mom, unfortunately I was with her just three days. My mom was a very lively person, but unfortunately now she can't walk because she's to weak (she's 96 years old) so a little supervision at dinner would be great. Besides that the service is great because when you need some thing they respond quickly. I must say that they are great with my mom in reference to the Cleanliness and always making her laugh. Nurses and nurse aids are great. Actually my only worry is the eating. But I also understand her dementia is gotten worse so that doesn't help either. But I thank all the people like the activity director Diahna and her staff also all the nurses and staff at nurse station on the second floor. Thank you for all these years of making her laugh and being making her feel loved. All the fun and activites that she loved. Thank you
My husband was there for one week. This was the worst experience ever! It was like being in a psychiatric ward! Some staff was fine, but most were not. They leave for for a long time before answering the nurses bell call. Got discharged and was supposed to receive a home aide and nurse and never even received a call! I would never recommend such a place!!!!
Mom has been at the Enclave for 3 days now and the staff is very accomodating, helpful and nothing short of amazing. I'm grateful for them and hope that the service will continue to be this great moving forward.
