I am so happy with my decision to choose The Courtyard at Auburn Hills for my father. The community is beautiful and the staff is incredibly caring and attentive. Michelle, the leasing director, was especially helpful in explaining the different levels of care available and guiding me through the process. I feel confident that my father is in good hands.

As a new member of the team as the Health and Wellness Director, I can honestly say I am highly impressed by the team that is in place here. The caregivers pour their heart and soul into the residents. I am honored to be apart of the management team, sometimes in this field it’s hard to find a place that truly has a heart for this!! Here, we do!! If you are looking for a place for your loved one to be FAMILY! This is the place!!! So blessed to be apart of this community!!
We highly recommend Randall Residence for assisted living and memory care. The common spaces are pleasant, bright and open. Each resident has their own room with bedroom, bath and living area. The staff are excellent, very caring and engaging with the residents. My father lived at Randall Residence for 3 years and my mother-in-law lived there 2 1/2 years. We were very happy with the care that our parents received at Randall Residence.
When my mother needed a “memory care” facility, we chose Randall Residence of Auburn Hills. The staff is very responsive to her needs and display a great deal of empathy. Mom has a wonderful apartment and their professional caring staff has made her feel a part of the community. My thanks to everyone at Randall Residence of Auburn Hills for not only taking care of my mother but helping to reduce the burden on our family. I give their facility and staff a Five-Star rating! If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would! Patient dumping is their favorite way to eliminate any resident that does not meet the "Randall Residence Standard." What is the Randall Residence Standard, you ask? Over medicating! Or in my father's case, it was not giving him his medication. My father was accepted at the Randall Residence after an extended hospital stay. Our family was candid about his condition and what his needs were going to be. The Randall Residence performed two different assessments for admission. They accepted my father, and he moved in. The first week was good. My father got care, he enjoyed his stay, and the caregivers were kind. After his first week, we received multiple calls requiring us to come up and help handle various situations. Here are some of the "incidents": throwing chairs which did not happen. They could not change him. He threw a class that did not occur. He took food, tried to go after someone with a fork, and swung a fire extinguisher. These calls would also threaten to send my father out to the hospital. We met with Zac, "the executive director," on multiple occasions, where he forcibly recommended using their physician "at no cost." Over the next couple of weeks, my father had "multiple incidents" in that they refused to give written documentation showing what occurred. When questioned about the incidents, we were given a verbal response and never a written one. An example of one of the incidents pointed towards a caregiver getting injured, apparently needing to seek medical attention. When I visited my father the next day, the caregiver was working with no markings on their face as we were told they had, and they did not seek medical attention. These "incidents" seemed to occur often, but when we came and saw cuts and bruises on my father, marks on the wall, broken personal items, and raised questions, we were not given the whole story or any answers. It came to our attention that my father had not received the proper medication dosage as ordered by his physician. We addressed this issue with them four times before they admitted to the mistake. When we questioned this, Zac (executive director) and Dee (head caregiver) pulled up his medicine dispersal times and said, "see, he is getting his meds at 2 am." After additional questioning and a few days passing, we contacted Chris Randall, who investigated our claim. We received a call from Sue at the corporate office, stating that Zac and Dee had shown us the 2 pm dispersal time, and he had an excess of 20 pills. My father had not received his proper medication dosage for 20 DAYS! Other things you should know before you seek to send your loved one to the Randall Residence from our experience: 1. They force you to use their physician and require Ativan Gel. 2. They will not give incident reports even when you demand them in writing. 3. Medications were not administered as prescribed by the physician. 4. Missing and broken items on many occasions. When asked, they would have an answer. 5. Cuts and bruises on my father's arms. 6. Left with open wounds. Proper care was NOT given. 7. Laundry left filthy and unattended. 8. Care plan was posted all over the room with mis-spellings, especially the patient's name. Most importantly, the care plan stated, "do not call family. Call Dee." 9. NO return on phone calls from Chris Randall. 10. NO A/C in the rooms or Cottage 2. 11. Business manager Jenny raised her voice when incidents arose, and I asked for answers. 12. Staff was not allowed to speak to our family after we raised questions. 13. Under staffed caregivers! These examples are just the tip of the iceberg... Due to the lack of care, consistency, and response, my father has declined to the point that he is hospital bound. Had the Randal Residence kept its "standard," we would not be in this place. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE, or else you will be where we are. Janell and Chris Randall, you do not need to answer this review. I contacted your corporate office on multiple occasions and NEVER received a response.
