The Cottages of Dartmouth has been the best decision ever when it comes to the care of my husband and my peace of mind. From touring the campus with Robert LaVallee on day one to move in day it just felt right. I have been so fortunate to have Robert be by my side throughout the whole process and even on the weekends. My calls and questions never go unanswered. When meeting Robert you know that your family member is in safe hands and they will be taken care of as family. All the employees at The Cottages have been so welcoming and supportive with the adjustment, everyone is genuine and caring. I have had the pleasure of having breakfast and lunch with my husband and the other residents and it’s like a family gathering! My husband is thriving there with the social interaction and attentive care. When I go to visit we enjoy taking walks on campus and enjoy each others company which is priceless as his caregiver; my mind is at ease and I know he is safe. Amazing experience for both of us.

It is never an easy decision to place a loved one in an assisted living facility. Having selected the Cottages of Dartmouth as the facility to best accommodate the needs of my husband was a good decision. And it is primarily the staff that has made the transition so much easier for both of us. The staff is friendly, very accommodating and trained to respond to the different phases of the resident’s physical and mental condition. The physical layout of each cottage is very attractive, home-like and conducive to creating the feeling of being part of a new family. Clearly the administration employs and trains the staff to welcome and address every resident by name, emphasizing how they are seen and treated as individuals. Additionally having been so impressed with the care my husband is receiving, I have since transferred another relative from a nursing home to The Cottages, memory care unit. It’s worth a requested visit and tour of the Cottages by contacting Robert, the sales and marketing director, he is fantastic. My aunt just recently became a resident of the cottages of North Dartmouth. It has been a wonderful experience so far. Robert LaValle, has gone above and beyond to make this transition such a positive experience. He is never too busy to answer. Any questions you may have. He makes the resident and family feel so welcomed. Everyone from Charlene, the executive Director staff and maintenance. Makes it a point to introduce themselves. Welcoming, patient, helpful, understanding... We needed to find a place for mom. All the folks at The Cottages were all very helpful, informative, attentive... I could just go on and on. I was assisting my 83 year old father, through a very difficult process. The folks at The Cottages provided an abundance of information. They made it as easy as possible. It made the choice easy. Mom will move into the Memory Care unit soon. Updates on her transition will follow. Thank you Robert LaValle for answering ALL our questions... There were a lot of questions.
The Cottages at Dartmouth Village was such a blessing to my Gram and for our family during her recent respite stay following a hip fracture. The entire staff went above and beyond to be sure my grandmother was safe, healthy and involved. The food is delicious and the schedule of activities each day made sure that grandma was never bored. The cottage style of living felt just like home without the need to do any laundry or housekeeping! When it was time to move my grandmother closer to her family it was with a heavy heart as The Cottages truly became family to us all. You or your loved one will not regret calling The Cottages at Dartmouth Village your next home!
