I moved my parents to The Commons at Elk Grove in April of 2024, so they have lived there for more than a year and they are thriving! Mom is reading the books in the library and has her hair done at the salon and dad likes to order the soup of the day for lunch along with his favorite spaghetti. While my parents are enjoying the food, the holiday decorations and the field trips, I have the peace of mind knowing they are in a mini "blue zone" or "safety bubble." I believe the overall success of this assisted living facility is directly related to the Executive Director who has a "Heart of Gold." The Executive Director hires the best caregivers, nurses, physical therapists, admin staff and she ensures that each and every employee has the proper training and support. Everyone is kind, caring, and they respond immediately to my requests for information (i.e. how are dad's diabetic glucose numbers? Does mom have enough Ensures?) Many thanks and much appreciation to all of the caregivers who have provided care to my parents, everything from medication management to doctor appointments. I am truly grateful.

Mom has been at this facility for over 6 years now. She is happy and well cared for by incredibly loyal, patient and loving staff. Rooms and common areas are clean and welcoming. My grandchildren love visiting and doing activities in the memory care with the residents. Communication and response from staff and management is excellent. Many activities to keep the residents engaged.
I cannot praise The Commons at Elk Grove enough for their outstanding assisted living and memory care community. From day one of working with this wonderful team I can see the warm, welcoming atmosphere made it feel like home. The staff is incredibly compassionate and well-trained, providing tailored activities that engage and stimulate residents while honoring their individuality. The memory care is exceptional with an amazing staff and memory care director. When I visit the memory care it always feels like home with wonderful staff members always so attentive. And they’re always full. Which speaks for itself.
I love this community! As an elder care specialist, it meets all of my requirements for a great community. They have wonderful staff who have extensive experience and are some of the kindest people I know. They have great food and activities and the care is exceptional. They offer unique apartments, some with patios which is a great feature that is not available everywhere. Thanks for taking such good care of my clients!
This is a smaller, but feature-packed senior community. For many, the smaller size may lend to a much closer-knit community, which is the case here. Extremely clean and plenty of activities for residents to participate. The best part about this community are the staff who work extremely hard to ensure every resident (and potential residents looking for a new community) feels welcomed. These staff are truly dedicated to their jobs and take pride in how well their community shows. This is a place worth checking out if you are on the hunt for a new community.
