My mom was transferred to this facility after a bad experience with the first facility she was in. I just wish she would have went to this facility from day one. Case workers were professional. Nursing staff treated her with compassion & were attentive to her needs. PT & OT were awesome. They worked with her daily & helped her quickly regain here strength. Facility was modern & clean. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone needing short term skilled nursing/rehab!

My mother-in-law was in for an 8 week rehab stay. The physical facility is clean, modern, and inviting. She was happy to have a private room. The staff was mostly competent friendly and attentive, although there were a few lapses here and there. We were pleasantly surprised that social activities were planned for residents in a rehab facility besides rehab work. We only have one major complaint that the caseworker could have improved communication with both the patient and the family. Discharge was also a little confusing regarding next steps. Overall it was a positive experience.
My mother broke her hip and had surgery. We read the reviews, which seemed like a great place for her to recover. Boy, were we sadly mistaken. When she arrived at 2 p.m., they didn't provide her with a walker, a wheelchair and the bedside commode. It looked like it was made for a small child. My mother had just had surgery on April 29th and had Ben out of bed because then the next day, they took her to the rehab center. They didn't even provide her with a pillow till we complained. My mother is diabetic and needed to eat well as to check her blood sugar so she could take her insulin. By 10pm. No one had a clue why she was there, hadn't given dinner or medications. When I begged the nurse for food and her meds, she said their pharmacy didn't open till 1:30am, but if she had to take the insulin or medication away from another patient, she would. My mother finally got something to eat. Around 2am, she received her insulin. From there forward, between myself and my daughter, we were afraid to leave my mother there alone with those nurses. At home, my mother is a very independent woman who can take care of herself very well. The nurses weren't giving my mother enough insulin, which caused her blood sugar levels to be 399 to 500s. This was no way normal! They were going to kill her. My mother kept telling them they weren't giving the correct amount of doses, but they would speak to her as if she were a child. So disrespectful. One of the Asian nurses didn't realize that I was on the phone checking in on my break when my mother asked the nurse when she would get her full dose of insulin? The horror that I listened to from that nurse made my blood boil so high that I spoke up so fast to put the women in her place! I made it very clear that she will NO LONGER SPEAK TO MY MOTHER IN THAT MANNER OR DISRESPECT HER THAT WAY EVER AGAIN!!! Now I don't get me wrong. The facility itself was okay. Needs to be updated. The physical therapists were absolutely amazing. Almost all the CNAs were terrific. Just need 2 or 3 more on the night shift and maybe 2 nurses that actually cared about the patients that were there. The doctors don't have a clue as to what they're doing. She was there for physical on her hip but the doctor was changing her medications atound to see if his was would work better for her but the results were harming her. She would beg to speak with him but until we would threaten a law suit, that would thats when he would show up so we could talk to him. But the rest were so hateful. My mother would cry for the 94 year old women next door who broke her neck and shoulder and she back. This poor woman would holler in pain and we could hear the nurses yelling at her " you better sit up and drink you Insure because if you spill it, then it's gonna be your fault that I'll have to pick you up to clean you"! Then you can hear the little lady crying out in agony. "Oh no, please , no!" All of a sudden, the nurse screams out, "LOOK WHAT YOU JUST DID. YOU MADE A MESS. I TOLD YOU TO SIT UP"!! My mother was so afraid for the poor woman that she got up and stood by the door to make sure the nurses would hurt her in front of my mother. She was ready to call the police. The final straw was on May 8th, when the disrespect came out so harsh from the Asian nurse. My mother was so depressed by then that we decided enough was enough, its time to take my mother home. Friday May 9th we called for the Doctor to sign the release papers. Physical therapy gave their thumbs up to say she's clear to go, but we still had to wait 1 more day. Saying her insurance wanted her to stay another week so the Rehab Center would be paid. We got a hold of the insurance company that evening and they said she could leave anytime. So the doctor signed the papers on Saturday morning. My mother went home and her blood sugar is normal now 102 to 120. I sent a letter to the administrator about our experience. My suggestion, NEVER leave someone alone in this Center at all times. Horrifying!!
The place is very friendly and clean. Gives you a sense of being cozy. There are a lot of spaces for families to visit. They encourage family members to visit by adjusting the night time hours according to your situation. I would have put five stars if the rehabilitation part with physical therapy and occupational therapy was a little better. I think they should be doing more with my husband for his rehabilitation. But for the most part it's a very nice comfortable place to go in and recover from a hospital stay.
The staff and facility are excellent! My father transferred to The Center for end of life hospice, and the team was excellent. The nurses and CNAs were attentive, but also respectful to our family wishes. The business staff was professional, and walked our family through costs and procedures. The facility itself is well appointed, and well cared for; we were able to enter easily as visitors, and the patient accommodations are high quality. Nothing about the scenario within which our family found itself was desired with my father’s conditions, but The Center allowed us to focus on our family connections in a comfortable, supportive setting.
