This place is suppose to be "bougie" for rich folks. I really pray you think twice before sending your elderly loved ones here. bugs fly around in kitchen, dishes as filthy and they continually put them out, they micromanage their aides and nurses until they quit over the pettiest things! They hired someone that has no credentials to do so, she is no CNA, or STNA, her the DON and management watches camera even when there is absolutely no reason too #creepy. who wants to work under someone that says you're a great nurse im so proud of you, finding out you were just used. This place is very easy but management will never have a good person there! this place will always be a high turn over rate!!!!

We spent a month visiting facilities in the south suburbs this November to select the best assisted living facility in Dayton. The Carlyle House stood out by far. Not only is it beautiful and well-kept, it is a welcoming, loving home for your loved one. My mother just celebrated her 102nd birthday there. Her physical needs are met, but, more importantly, her emotional and spiritual needs are cared for. The aides are loving, kind and attentive. They treat her like family, laughing and joking with her. She is never treated as a chore or burden. Our whole family is so grateful to Bryan and the staff for providing a positive, uplifting experience for the residents and their families. If you are searching for the best place for a family member, look no farther.
My Mom was a resident here for a month. She was under hospice care and had a large number of meds. They never could get her meds right. One night she called for pain meds and waited hours when no one answered her call light. Getting pain meds for a hospice patient should not have been like pulling teeth. She was once told by a nurse manager that she had taken meds that she had not been given. My mother was a very sharp woman and kept meticulous notes of meds taken. I can't imagine what meds weren't given to patients with mental deficiencies or no family to look out for them. That being said Hospice of Dayton are absolute angels who treated my Mom like a queen and advocated for her while she lived at The Carlyle House. They came to the facility several times when she had problems with pain management. Yes there are some genuinely caring, wonderful workers there and the facility was always very clean. I think if your loved one is in relatively good health with a short med list, they may do just fine. I do not recommend this facility to seriously ill patients that require competent pain management.
We picked this place because of great ratings of food service and care. The food is not fresh and mostly frozen. They don’t have special dietary guidelines. My grandma has passed away and they are still posting old pictures of dead residents on Facebook! They don’t do activities everyday like they say. I don’t recommend this place. They hire teenagers with no training or experience. My family spent so much money for care that she didn’t get. Take your money somewhere else!
If I could add five more stars I would!! So caring and wonderful to all their resident's. I can't say enough about the level of care.... Just thank you Bryan, Paula and staff.
