Glenda and her team at The Caring Cottage are simply amazing! After years of my father caring for my mom, the reality of mom's care became too much and, yet, the thought of placing mom in a larger memory care facility was unsettling. We visited CC over a year prior to eventually deciding to place mom with Glenda and her team, and I kept in touch with Glenda until dad was ready. Glenda was a continuous resource and guide to us during the decision process and during mom's move to CC, always so caring, compassionate and insightful. We are incredibly pleased with mom's care, the beautiful home, the staff, and level of attention. And even beyond the good staff ratios, the geniune personal concern and care are exceptional. With only four women in the home, they are able to personalize and it's like a community of residents and families who care. The communication from Glenda is excellent and she goes the extra step to create a lovely home for the women. Alzheimers is sad for the families who have to watch their loved one struggle with this cruel disease. But Caring Cottage gives me peace knowing mom is content and well cared for. There isn't enough space in a Google review to describe everything. Suffice it to say that I am grateful to have discovered CC and Glenda, and highly recommend The Caring Cottage for anyone looking to place their loved one.

Our family was very pleased with the care our mother received at The Caring Cottage. Glenda, her husband and staff create a loving, caring and clean environment for their residents. We highly recommend this home and feel it is a superior experience versus larger nursing homes.
I am so pleased and at peace that my mom is finally in a place where she is cared for and validated. The Caring Cottage is clean, beautiful and well staffed with caring staff. Glenda does everything to make sure her residents are well taken care of, trained, and treated like family.Glenda being a physical therapist is such a gift. She knows her residents well and truly cares about their well being. My mom is peaceful and calm now and actually interacts with staff. Glenda makes sure to keep in contact with family and update them on their parent of loved one. I would highly recommend The Caring Cottage to anyone whose loved one can no longer be in assisted living and doesn't want to send their parent to a nursing home at that point in their life.

Practically one-on-one care means that the caregivers know everything that is going on with a person's health, mood, and condition throughout the day. Nothing is overlooked. This is invaluable and so reassuring if you are the one overseeing your loved one's care. No more battling large facilities and their ever-changing staff to get information. The key is that owner Glenda Brown and her husband Mike are regularly in the home overseeing everything. Glenda is detail oriented and uncompromising in the quality of care they offer. I have seen firsthand she hires remarkable staff who are kind and efficient, patient, encouraging and creative. Glenda is a problem solver and an advocate for your loved one. She has put me in touch with medical professionals who do house calls! I am so grateful to Caring Cottage for the care they provide for my mom, for the lovely, calm home environment, and peace of mind they have given me.
