When my 95 yr old Dad broke his hip, due to his age, his recovery was slow. When his Medicare allowance period ran out he still need supervised oversight, so he was moved to the Arbors Assisted Living facility in Islandia where he continued his rehab. This facility was just what he needed! The staff were always friendly, caring, and dependable. Dad made many friends which improved his outlook and motivated him. In addition to a variety of services and amenities, that included housekeeping, hair and nail services maintenance, medication oversight, there were weekly excursions to restaurants and shopping! Of course Dad was happy to return to his own home, but he has often said he enjoyed his time spent at the Arbors. Our family is VERY GRATEFUL to them for helping Dad to get back home!

The safe care unit is BEYOND negligent and unsanitary. The residents would go days sometimes weeks without the correct depends, without body soap, without clean clothes (because they're stuffed inside trash bags in their closets) and there would be dried blood and bodily fluids on the furniture. Before there is a tour of the facility, an email blast would go out to staff telling them to be "friendly" to the residents and make sure it is clean. The treatment of the residents is worse. Don't believe me? The pictures are worth a thousand words... sad. If you care about your loved ones please don't send them here.
Perfect new home for my Mother in Law. It was probably the hardest decision we had to make, but it was absolutely the right choice. The staff is amazing and so caring, it's extremely clean, the decor is bright and updated and the food is delicious (according to my Italian Mother in Law). She went no where before entering the Arbors and was not social at all. But now.... she goes on day trips, established friendships and is more social than ever! I highly recommend the Arbors, especially for the memory impaired. So happy we found a gem like this!
My parents moved into The Arbors at Islandia East about 4 months ago and we are so very grateful for the quality care and attention they receive daily. The staff has been absolutely wonderful and have helped them (and all of us!) adjust and feel at home through this transition. I can’t say enough good things about the team at Arbors East! They not only take care of all my parents’ health and wellness needs, but they are all so friendly and kind and spend time really getting to know them and making them comfortable. There is great communication between staff and family members and we always feel that my parents are respected and truly cared about. It’s so reassuring to know that they are safe, their needs are met, and they are happy in their new home. We are thankful to be part of the Arbors family! 😊
My grandmother has spent a month at Arbors so far and she's doing very well. All the staff has been so kind helping her with this transition and everytime we visit my grandmother has a new friend to introduce to us. Very grateful for arbors!
