I worked at this facility as a hairstylist for 2 yrs and I will say to anyone thinking of working for this facility as an independent contractor DON’T!!! I had a hard enough time being paid when it was Benton House but after they were bought out I didn’t get paid for literally months. I ended up leaving because of it and was unable to speak with anyone in corporate about the situation and got no return calls or emails from corporate. I hated to leave as I cared very much about the residents there but this new company is just so unprofessional and unorganized I was over it. As far as the facility itself the staff with the exception of a few are extremely kind and loving to the residents and are very hard workers. They have a very hard time keeping a chef for whatever reason and I was told by many that the food was bad. There is very little for these residents to do at this facility which I always found sad just because they are 90’s doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be given things to do. Eat, sleep, hair, eat, sleep, hair seems to be it for them. It’s just entirely too expensive for them to hv nothing for these people to do.

My Mother is a resident in one of their wonderful memory care communities. The staff has become family to her. Everyone is so kind and caring. Her room is very specious with a lovely view. The celebrations and activities keep Mom involved and active. I love the community lifestyle and how the staff gets to know the residents so well. It's always a welcoming environment. If you are seriously looking for a new home for your loved one, please disregard the review left by my family member, Vincent Hain, and check it out yourself. Benton House unfortunately has to sometimes deal with angry family members, but they are very professional about it.
As a one million views reviewer you can trust me. BH Bluffton should be your first choice of reviewing your situation and considering this facility. They're top rated on all inspections. Jackie Tilley as the resident services director is an amazing 😍 person; and on the 4th of July the residents are in festive shirts, are drawing and having fun. Despite some minor communication issues, and after my mother having been a resident now at 9 mos there, I'm hopeful in the future of better communication and my mother living out the remaining weeks, months or years in peace.
Very clean and organized by the staff. All patients sitting and calm- unbelievable!!! My wife was also in a good mode 😄
Thank You and Happy Holidays Mom is a resident of Benton House since the end of May. After having spent two weeks visiting Benton House on a Respite Visit, Mom decided that she wanted to become part of the Benton House family. And family is what the Benton House has become to all of us. The Executive Director, Brandy, is a caring and tireless leader and is never too busy to listen and offer comforting advice. She runs an excellent facility and has surrounded herself with an exceptional staff. It is hard to single out individuals as Mom only has good things to say about everyone-- the aides, med techs, dining, activities coordinators, and laundry, cleaning, maintenance and nursing staff. To the individuals that I have come to know personally and you know who you are…..my sincere thanks. Special thanks to Sharon who is way more than the Administrative Assistant – she always has time to answer questions, both in person and over the phone, and takes the time, no matter how busy she is, to listen and to Jackie, who is caring and compassionate and just exceptional. By no means do I want to miss expressing gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all of the Benton House staff especially to those who touch not only Mom on a daily basis but to those who touch me as well. Wishing you all a very Happy Holiday Season! Ms. Maria and her daughter, Kathy L.
