Family of Caring Grand Reopening of this Rehabilitation Center has transformed it into a 5-Star facility with hotel grade amenities and boarding. Extremely clean from the hallways to the rooms and the marble bathrooms. Superb staff with focus on patient care. Everything is brand new. They did not hold back splurging on high end materials, making this the best Rehabilitation Center in the area

There are no words to describe the shoddy, minimal care that my son received. He was taken there to rehab after surgery for a broken hip, He never received sufficient PT. After three months he developed a lung infection and went to Holy Name ER. He died after three weeks in the ICU. The pulmonologist said he had had the infection for weeks....unnoticed, and untreated. We weren't allowed to visit without making a half hour appointment - which Simone grudgingly scheduled, if you could get her on the phone. She never called back after you left a message. So being unable to see him we couldn't see his decline. We did find sores on his heels which we pointed out to the nurse. He had diabetes and they had neglected to do even this routine check on his feet. We watched him fight for breath for three week in the ICU. Teaneck Nursing Center's negligence cost my son his life. We are heartbroken. Don't allow your loved one to be sent here.
They treat every patient with dignity and have activity programs for the residents. My sister was here for almost 10 years and they were very patient with her. Clean. My only complaint is that the parking lot is tiny and my sister had a personal portable computer stolen.
My grandmother stayed briefly. All of her belonging were lost or stolen, even though they were labeled with her name. The social worker neglected to file any paperwork with the state, backing up her case for weeks. The psychiatrist violated HIPAA and lied about it. He filled out paperwork that was used to steal my grandma’s social security check. Social security office confirms it was this doctor. The worst part was a day before her 90th birthday, the administrator of Teaneck nursing home, Aaron Shwartz sent her to the psych emergency room against the wishes of his own medical director. My grandmother has dementia and was having behavioral problems. Aaron was aware of her diagnosis but insisted she be sent “for evaluation” even though she had a diagnosis and a prescription for when her behavior was disruptive. She spent her 90th birthday in the psych ER, which she believed to be a penitentiary and wasn’t even allowed a piece of birthday cake and only 2 visitors for the day. My family is still unraveling the mess Teaneck Nursing Home has made and my grandma continues to suffer for it.
