Synergy has been a God send for my husband who is bed and wheelchair bound. This agency has consistently met our needs in providing respite care on a weekly basis and also occasional 24-hour care care when I go out of town for a few days. When a caregiver cannot come for a particular shift, Synergy contacts me to make arrangements for another caregiver if needed. The caregivers are personable, caring, compassionate and skilled.

I recently had a knee replaced and needed help with showering. Synergy sent me exactly what I needed. They sent Gwen to help me, and she was terrific. Professional and personable. She helped me in more ways than just a shower, as she did a few light household tasks for me, too. When I need this kind of help again, I will certainly contact Synergy. The entire staff at Synergy was great, and I'd hope to get Gwen again!
Synergy has been a wonderful addition to my mother’s hospice care team. Their service ensures that she remains clean and well-groomed, so important for skin health at this stage. Our caregiver, Mabel, has become part of our family. So much so that when she called me and was on Bluetooth in my car, my dog, who was riding in the back, squealed with excitement when he heard her voice! It’s safe to say that Jack gives Mabel 5 stars also!
Greetings EVERYONE! It is with Great DELIGHT 😊 that We are able to Recommend Synergy HomeCare in the Richmond, VA Metropolitan Area. For about 2-Years, my now 93-year old Mother, Thelma Cooke Lewis, formally of Richmond, Virginia via Sumpter, SC from October 1937 to August 7, 1945 (She was 7 years old when my Grandmother, Aldine Cooke moved her family of seven to Richmond, after the passing of her Husband, Henry James Cooke in April 1930 . . . Mom never saw her Father, being born September 1930) . . . So You can only imagine the Hardship of a now Widow with six children - No Husband, being a "Domestic Worker" and at the beginning of the GREAT Depression?? ONLY GOD ✝️ !!! Anyway, she had been asking me to take her to her Childhood home and City; when she mentioned it again in early November, I heard the Lord say . . . better GO NOW before you miss the Opportunity?? . . . So I began to Plan . . . Of Course, it wasn't the most expedient Time financially ?? ENTER Synergy HomeCare of Richmond, Virginia and Operations Manager, Matt Ederle and THIS Dream is taking shape and Looking VERY Possible! I had contacted Three such agencies in the area; the 1st told me that there was a FOUR Hour per Shift "Minimum" 😳 requirement? . . . . I only needed 2-hour shifts => Friday Evening upon our arrival; Saturday morning, Saturday Evening and Sunday Morning for about 3-Hours to get Mom ready for Church and to pack the Car 🚗 for Departure. Our GOAL was to make Mother's hotel Stay as close to her "normal" routine as possible? But it needed to be AFFORDABLE! ♧ Mom is Wheelchair Bound ♿️ yet has tremendous Upper body Strength 💪 . . . that's How we saved over $500 between the Handicap Van rental of $325 for 2.5-days and the Sit-to-Stand patient lift of $200 for a mandatory 30-day rental? SMH 🫤 KUDOS to Hilton Hotels and their Reservations Rep., Ms. Hillary who stayed on the phone looking INTO every option to provide us the BEST Hotel Alternative . . . We Settled on The Embassy Suites 2925 Emerywood Parkway. MATT EDERLE, Operations Manager for Synergy, was Our MAN! . . . He understood the Assignment, Working within our Parameters and Budget; and KNEW Exactly which Caretaker would be Perfect 🎯 for the task at hand, the Incomparable, Ms. Katina, a Wonderful Caregiver who immediately Hit it off with Mom and DID an Excellent job "Loving" on Mom . . . I REALLY Appreciated her Flexibility ❤️ and allowing Mom and I some "Extra" Time eat dinner both Friday and Saturday nights. She was an Endearing Soul! PROFESSIONALLY speaking, Synergy HomeCare was Par Excellent! 🥇 . . . Matt, Lydia (The Duty Nurse) and Ms. Katina arrived at the hotel by 6pm; performed a short patient analysis, reviewed our paperwork submitted by our Assisted Living Home (Kudos to Yanique Oluwafemi, owner of Charis Home Assisted Living in Southwest Baltimore City, MD) Medications 💊 and visited the hotel room for Suitability & Compliance. EVERYTHING Checked ✔️ Out! And we were Off to an Exciting Time! FROM the Initial phone call to the Follow-Up calls 📞, Contract Review and Docusign of the Contract; TO the Rate and ESPECIALLY Synergy HomeCare WILLINGNESS to Accommodate our Specific requirements for this Three Day Excursion. Our Experience with Synergy was AWESOME! OUR TRIP was a Dream Come True!👍 and we can't Say Enough GREAT Things about This Organization . . . CERTAINLY a Level HIGHER in HomeCare! Please Enjoy the Attached photos 📸 as we visited ALL of my mother's Childhood places; to include the streets she played on (Now built upon by Virginia Commonwealth University and The Richmond Convention Center) however, the old Hippodrome Theatre was restored and the Black History Museum of Richmond in the famed Jackson-Ward Community was a Great Experience. Lastly, we attended the church that Mom and her family attended in 1938-45, Wesley Memorial UMC (formally Leigh Street United Methodist Church). THANK-YOU Synergy HomeCare for making this trip FOREVER Memorable! Thelma Cooke Lewis ❤️ James H. Lewis II 😇
Mabel provides consistent care to meet my needs and current condition every time. It is obvious how much experience she has caring for someone who needs assistance. I am grateful for her help me.
