When my mother was first moved into Superior, she received excellent care. However since the beginning of this year, they are terrible. We have cameras in the room and know when the staff comes and goes. My mother is bed ridden and cannot feed herself, but in multiple occurrences they have just opened the door and put her food on the counter in the other room from my mom's bedroom. Even if my mother could feed herself there is no way for her to get to the food. Supposedly they leave it there with the idea the aide will come come and feed her shortly, but this is not the case. We have documented where they came in at 6:30 p.m. and placed the food on the counter and immediately closed the door and not placing the food in the room where my mother is. The aide came in after midnight to check on my mother. As she is walking out she sees the food on the counter and looks at it and then throws the food in the garbage. So from 430 p.m. when she received her medications until 12:30 a.m. the next morning my mother did not receive any food or water. We have complained and met with the director, but this has not improved. Instead, they increased the number of points so we have to pay more money for her care. She is under hospice care and the Dr. had ordered that she not continue to receive one of the 2 antibiotics she was on, the nurse admitted they had continue to give the wrong drug that the Dr. asked not to continue and stopped giving the one the Dr. wanted to continue. As a result my mother developed serious case of rashes all over her body. The practice of placing the food on the counter in the living room and not placing the food in the bedroom with my mother continues. Thank goodness that the family comes in to check on mom and assist her, otherwise who knows. Just last week, the breakfast food sat on the counter for three hours and she was not fed until lunchtime. Do yourself a favor and find another place for your loved one. The person we met to discuss points admitted that they only have 2 people for 82 customers. So one person for the first floor and half the second floor and one aide for the 3rd floor and half of the second floor. Therefore a ratio of 1 aide to 41 customers. This is their staff admitting to these conditions.

The residents are well cared for by the wonderful staff. Lauren had done an amazing job as Executive Director and has brought so much happiness to the residents through her outside community connections.
Professional staff, clean and cozy atmosphere. A+
My Dad has been a resident here since January and he has done very well. He adjusted beautifully to his new home which was wonderful as he had never lived anywhere else but home all of his life. He will be 80 next week. The staff here is very caring, concerned and will go out of their way to be helpful. Marcie, Admissions and Todd, Executive Director have been super to us since day one. The staff in the memory care neighborhood have taken such great care of my Dad especially Brandy and Charm. They are both angels on earth. If you are thinking of placing a loved one, you cant go wrong with Superior Residence. Thank you all and God bless you!
The place is absolutely lovely. The employees are friendly as well as the residents. The Staff goes the extra mile to make the new resident feel welcome.
