My grandparents lived at Sunrise 10 years ago and were so incredibly well cared for and loved that when the opportunity arose for me to work here I jumped at the chance. The nursing and care-giving teams are highly skilled - best I’ve encountered in assisted living communities. They truly care about the day-to-day wellbeing of residents. It’s a joy to come to work each day to spend time with our amazing residents and our care givers.

I have been here for almost 29 years. I love the residents and their families become such an important part of us. It’s clean, homey and food is not bad. Our residents are taken care of well. It’s a great place too work. We strive to do the very best for all the residents, families and staff.
Great assisted living facility. My sister resides here. Staff are thoughtful helpful and knowledgeable about care for memory impaired. Even the kitchen staff knows her preferences and strives to assure she is eating. Facility is clean and updates are made frequently new windows were installed in every room recently. The nursing care and personal care provided is excellent. They identify issues and communicate with me if intervention or treatment is needed. Not sure what the issue was about Medication List for other reviewer. I have frequently discussed and am always aware of what medications my sister is taking.
Sunrise was a nice place for my Mom. The staff was nice, however, there was very little transportation to get residence to their appoints. Also very little engagement beside the exercise classes and an occasional singer once or twice a month. The main reason I moved my mother was because of the 16 percent increase. $6500 to $7600. My Mom was there 3 1/2 years and gave no consideration regarding the huge increase. Be careful and ask what was the increases in the last 3 years to really get a feel for the place
My mother lived at Sunrise for the last 4 1/2 years of her life. At times those years were the most challenging, yet Sunrise of Norwood made them bearable for both of us. She had her own room and bathroom for 4 years and shared a room with one lovely resident for the last months to save $. I could eat meals with her and participate in activities with her as well. They used to have an incredible artist who painted and colored with the residents (unfortunately she left), and still have other fun activities, exercise, etc. The building itself is gorgeous and at the same time homey. The staff became family and I came to love each and every one of them. Money is a factor unfortunately, but I can tell you that it was money well spent.
