My Aunt went into the hospital and my Uncle, who has moderate dementia issues was left home alone. I contacted Sunrise after going through the process with another Respite Care Facility only to find out it would be over a week before they could evaluate my Uncle for admittance. I called Sunrise and they were able to evaluate him the next day, and within 48 hours, I was able to check him in with the help of Sunrise navigating me through a lengthy process. Since he has been there, they have been absolutely wonderful with my Uncle and ensuring that he is safe, answering his many questions, and keeping him busy while he waits for his wife to recover. I would highly recommend Sunrise to anyone looking to place loved ones in Assisted Living.

Although we did not choose this facility for my father-in -law, the staff we interacted with was very helpful, knowledgeable and seem very caring. Wished my father-in-law, let his family help in looking at other assisted living facilities before he chose the one he did go to a couple of years . I believe Sun Rise had so much more to offer him than this other facility he went because his wife's family made that decision. Unfortunately due to a hospitalization and quick progress of his dementia he require a higher level of care. For my husband and myself it was worth taking the time to visit the facility and speak with their staff. They do have a lot to offer.
My parents have been there for 2.5 years. The staff that takes care of my parents seem fine, my parents haven't had a lot of complaints about them. However, the management is terrible. They are extremely unresponsive to messages, and will turn a simple request into a months-long drama that most often results in them saying "no" to whatever you ask for. The maintenance guy has been rude since day one. I've told the executive director how disappointed I was in how something was handled and he completely ignored it. The van is very rarely available The communication between staff members is poor, and like I mentioned their communication with family is lacking, too. I wish I had chosen a different place for my parents.
Sunrise has done a wonderful job taking care of my mom. The staff is friendly and competent and knows mom. They keep her involved with activities at a level that she appreciates, and the help her every day.
Sunrise is a community of loving, caring, and compassionate people! before putting my Mom there I wasn't getting much sleep at night. I can rest easy knowing that Mom is safe, happy, and well cared for when I can't be there.
