Worse place to work if you ever looking for a career change never WORK HERE! THEY HAVE PICKS AND FAVORITES WHO SHOW UP LATE EVERYDAY, CALL OFF, SPREAD LIES AND DRAMA AND NOTHING IS DONE BUT IF YOU ARE A NEW THEY FIRE YOU INSTANTLY THIS PLACE WILL NOT DO WELL WITH THE ORIGINAL STAFF BECAUSE ITS TO MUCH FAVORITISM THEY HAVE EMPLOYEES THAT TRY TO FIGHT OTHER EMPLOYEES (BUT THEY ALWAYS STICK BESIDE THE ONES WHO HAS BEEN THERE) THERE IS ALSO FAMILY MEMBERS WHO WORK THERE AS SUPERVISORS SO THERE IS A BETTER CHABCE THEY WILL NEVER BE FIRED! THE HOUSEKEEPING COULD BE BETTER ALSO THE RESIDENTS ALWAYS COMPLAIN TO THE GREAT EMPLOYEES ON HOW THEY DO NOT RECEIVE THE HELP ON TIME AND IN A TIMELY GOOD MANNER!! THEY MAY TRY TO SEEM PERFECT AT INTERVIEWS AND ORIENTATION BUT IS NOTHING OF WHAT IT SUPPOSE TO BE…… TO BE CONTINUED I HAVE MUCH MORE TO SAY ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR FACILITY I DID HEAR OTHER FACILITIES IS MUCH BETTER!
What started as an unexpected comfort care stay for our beautiful 88 year old mother has turned into something so wonderful! There are many reasons for this, but none more impactful than Vera, the director at Sunrise. From the get go, she took immediate action to help with the transition from her home to a place she was not prepared to go to. The staff has made her feel welcome, valued and secure which has given our whole family peace of mind and hope for the future. We originally signed up for 30 days, but we are past that now and are moving through this process with the caring guidance of Vera and her wonderful staff.
The staff, led by Exec Director Vera, is phenomenal! My aunt has lived at Sunrise for almost 5 years and she is treated like family. I can’t speak so highly of corporate (except for Mazie. She’s great!) but the staff that interacts daily with my aunt makes up for the lack of competence at the corporate level. My aunt is happy and healthy thanks to the staff at Sunrise BH!
Vera, the Director of Sunrise of Bloomfield Hills, is not only highly professional, personable, compassionate, kind, humble, she is also knowledgeable (with an upper nursing degree) and with high emotional intelligence. I have personal experience with Vera immediately sensing and acting upon difficult matters and concerns, with kind leadership. Vera handles every single matter with professionalism, promptness and personal attendance any time. Her leadership has set Sunrise of Bloomfield Hills apart from every other senior living I have visited. Thank you Vera very much.
