This community is so welcoming! From the minute you take a tour with Lucy, you can feel that the staff really cares. Arin, the Executive Director is very engaged with her residents and families - always approachable and quick to respond. Kendall, who run all the activities for the community, is so warm and loving. All around the community just shines, and is a great home for our loved ones.

Lucy is amazing! All the staff is! We had a wonderful tour here with my Mom! I really liked that Lucy took the time to sit down twice to check in where my Mom was in the process. She was so comforting! Thank you Lucy 😊
Sunrise of Alexandria is a wonderful community with dedicated and professional team members. I was greeted warmly by each person I met during my tour!
Sunrise is an absolute disorganized, money-making machine with no regard for the people living in their facilities/ This franchised business was nearly responsible for killing my mother. I asked them to give her a UTI test multiple times a week for one month and they never did it. I was asking for this because every time I went in to visit her for several months she had wet pants on. Finally, I went in and took the sample myself. Even when I handed it to the nurse, she rolled her eyes and told me I was disturbing her. They didn’t give me the results for five days and by that time she had fainted. Even then, when I called the nurse who is responsible, she said mom tested positive for Ecoli in her urine, which indicates an infection caused by poop in her pants. But she also said she wasn’t going to give her medication for a UTI because “many older people test positive, but don’t have one.” I instructed her to order my mother medication. A week later, they had dehydrated her so badly that even after I gave her 24 ounces of water and an entire IV saline bag, it still took 6 hours for her to pee. This is when she was on antibiotics for that UTI. She spent 10 days in the hospital for pneumonia and theee more weeks in rehab. Mom was walking in her own before all this, and now she cannot walk, has a catheter and is on oxygen 24-hours a day. The staff is uncaring, actors who don’t do their jobs, some steal from their residents, and they left bruises on my mother’s arms. If I could give them a negative zero rating, I would.
I want to capture a few words of reflection and thanks for the excellent care provided to my sister during her 5-year stay at Sunrise of Alexandria. I am amazed and grateful that my sister is able to call this exceptional place home. The staff is uniformly excellent, from the administrative personnel to the maintenance staff to the care providers who are a tremendous help on an ongoing basis. While encouraging my sister to accept help, the staff also respects her decisions about what to do and what not to do and actively champions her right to make autonomous decisions. My sister is having fun most every day with her many friends and she often tells me she appreciates living at Sunrise of Alexandria. I have spoken highly of Sunrise of Alexandria to many of my friends and acquaintances in the community and will continue to do so.
