My Dad had such a bad experience at the facility, he was there for about 2 weeks on and off. He fell twice!! The first time he fell completely out of bed and was taken by ambulance. The hospital also diagnosed with congested heart failure. The second time he fell out of his wheelchair. He was filthy all the time and due to the shortage of staff he was always soaked in his own urine!! He unfortunately went into the facility with a stage 2 wound on his pelvis and unstageable!!! Absolutely horrific facility!!!!

I was a patient there for rehabilitation and it was poor at best . Our rooms were unkempt and the only time bed was changed was when it was soiled . Thank God there was food delivery close by .
I have MS and I had to go to the hospital because I had a UTI that did not help my symptoms with MS . I was in the hospital for about 4 or 5 days because it really took a lot out of me as far as my Mobility goes . from the hospital I was sent to Sunnyside nursing home for Rehab . the place is older and it does need updating but the people there were phenomenal to me and I can't say enough about them . if I had to I would go there again because the physical therapist and occupational therapist helped me out tremendously .
Avoid this facility if possible. My mother was at Sunnyside for three weeks, and we were not happy with the quality of the facility nor her care. They are understaffed and it was hard to find the right person to talk to about my Mom's needs. Staff turnover seemed high - we met several people who were on their way out the door or had just started working there. More than once, the aids charged with caring for the residents were sitting around looking at their phones (w/ ear buds in!) rather than attending to the residents. The building is outdated and dirty. The steel doors in the rooms are more appropriate for a jail than a care facility. Clearly, the owners are not investing in the building, the staff, or the food. And as a final insult, they lost my Mom's clothing.
Don't do it! There is a handful of staff that is caring, but the place is not clean, is wholly outdated, bad food, never enough staff, small rooms, etc. Your loved one will not get enough attention or care at this facility. Managing doctor is a joke. Some weekend evenings there may be only an aide or one nurse on for 80 residents.the only good thing about this facility is that it is small.
