I went to visit Summit Place and was pleasantly surprised at every step of my tour. Kaylan was so knowledgeable and answered my questions, as well as my son's questions, without hesitation. After several days of visiting senior homes and apartments, I decided that Summit Place was the best fit for me and my family/friends. I am very pleased about my decision and look forward to moving to Summit Place in the near future!
my mom and uncle moved there last fall. We were told some services were available that were not, but that employee doesn't work there anymore, so to bad for us. The rent went up in January, 5 months after my mom moved in and 3 months after my uncle moved in, Welcome to Summit Place. That would be fine if either could be comfortable in their apartments. They still haven't turned the air conditioning on for the residents and it is very common to have these apartments 75+ degrees. That may be ok for some, but my uncle has emphysema and is on hospice and needs it to be as close to 70 degrees to be able to BREATHE. That doesn't appear to be a concern of this place. it has been an issue for some time now, and they are not the only residents that feel this way. The response is we are waiting for a part, well that has been the excuse for a long time now. We have now had to purchase an portable air conditioner for my uncles apt, and my mom has to leave her apartment to cool off a lot of afternoons. Their answer, open you window that will help. The windows are open. Fix your air conditioner. BTW, do you think these residents that are paying over 3500 a month have had any considerations to their rent....NOPE. Not how I thought this transition for my mom and uncle would go. one thing, most of the people are very nice, but none have been able to solve the issue.

It is ridiculous how that face went up this year, they said it was because of inflation, but none of their prices have gone up for themselves, and they are not doing any more work than they usually do. It is outrageous. They are just lining their pockets.!! The facility is clean, however. The staff who help the residents is decent but rest of the staff is marginal, at best. They are not getting paid more. Just the upper paid people are getting paid more, and still they are charging more this year per patient. But the services there and help are all still the same, yet the price to live there went up… Legal robbery. Of older folks!!
