This facility exceeded all of our expectations. It is beautiful both in the common rooms and the individual apartments. The staff are exceedingly attentive and compassionate, and go above and beyond. This place is staffed by loving and caring people. The food is good. The activities are robust basically you couldn’t do better than Storypoint Bolingbrook. It exceeds all expectations for assisted-living facilities. Dan, the director has an excellent staff and runs an absolutely beautiful and compassionate facility

after researching and visiting so many independent/assisted living places for my beloved father, I knew I didn’t have to look any further as soon as I walked through the doors at Atria. my first contact was a phone call with Dina, whom I immediately liked. she was knowledgeable, compassionate and very helpful. and in person, she immediately put me at ease in the entire process … which was an extremely difficult time for me. I immediately felt like we both had the same mission … to place my dad in the best care possible and the best fit for him. The facility is gorgeous! and as soon as you walk in, you feel a sense of vibrancy and life that is sometimes lacking in other facilities that i have toured. it was the perfect vibe for my almost 90 year old dad. I brought him in the very next day for his assessment, and we moved him in four days later - which was the earliest they could get him in. I would’ve left him there that night! that’s how much I love it. I met the director that day, Sandi, and she was equally vivacious, engaged and honestly just fun to be around! The staff is so friendly, generous with their time and energy and so patient. I think that a big part of overall wellness is to be surrounded with positivity and elevated vibrations. no other facility came close to creating an environment for thriving and joyfulness. I also want to mention Joanna at the front desk/reception area and Tanna the activities director. both ladies definitely add to an environment of caring for my dad. after we established the move-in date, they gave us immediate access to the room to get the furniture delivered and the room set up for him. on move-in day, they made such a fuss over him and even had the whole staff come out and give him a toast! 😭🙏🏾🤍 i’m adding that video to Google maps 🫶🏽🙌🏾 i am so grateful to the staff at Atria for helping me find the perfect home for my dad. 🫶🏽🙏🏾♥️🤍
One of the most difficult undertakings is convincing a loved one to leave their home for another living situation. When my wife and I were researching senior living communities for her father, Atria at River Trail was the second one that we visited. Once we entered the facility, both of us had a really good feeling. The place was vibrant, clean and everyone was very friendly. I especially took notice of the residents, and all the ones that I saw, from what I could see, seemed happy and in good spirits. We even had the opportunity to talk with a few of them during our visit. After that initial visit, we stopped looking, and set up our next meeting there with my father-in-law. From that point on, we have no regrets as we know that we made the right decision for him. Although, he's only been there a little over a month, he seems very engaged with all the activities, really enjoys the food, and looks forward to working out everyday at the fitness room, even at 99 years of age. All in all, both my wife and I are extremely grateful that this transition for her father has worked out so well.
It truly is a difficult task deciding on a place for an elderly loved one to live. We wanted a facility that does it all regarding care. My father is almost 94 and is fiercely independent. He is also very social, so Atria Senior Living sounded like a great plan! And it was a GREAT decision! From the moment we walked in, we were very impressed. It’s absolutely beautiful, but that really comes in second to the staff and other residents! The staff is always accommodating and they really enjoy my father! Several staff members greeted him in his room the first week he moved in. They do a quarterly audit and ask my father the same questions. He is asked “What is the best thing about Atria?” Every time he tells them “Giovanni.” Giovanni is in charge of the ‘fun schedule’ and he is unbelievably outstanding!!! He is very patient with all the residents & the family members. He runs the bingo game - and my father never played bingo a day in his life before moving here!! Giovanni truly gets everyone involved and his effervescence is contagious! My father originally said the only reason he was staying there was because of Giovanni! Now my father has made some great friends and he is the biggest social butterfly! The staff members always greet him warmly. Giovanni & his assistant, Darlene are truly great people; the front desk personnel (I don’t know all of their names) are equally vivacious; and Dina (in sales) is awesome! They are all so involved in helping & taking care of my father! I know he is in great hands, but I still go there every day! The best indicator in anyones choice of a care facility is the residents. Talk to them when you come in! They will all agree that it is a wise choice to move your loved one into this facility!
The nursing care provided to my mother in Memory Care was good. Although they often complained about being short handed they attended to my mother properly. The maintenance workers were super. Management at this facility was not always honest with me. They did not follow through on my phone calls and/or emails. They misled me multiple times. I felt their goal was to lie at all costs to keep the beds full. At one point, my mom’s monthly rate was raised substantially with NO notice. I would say, be wary! Especially now with new ownership!
