When my aunt was in Stone Rise Healthcare, in Beckley WV in 2020, the person in care was rude to me anytime I called to check on her, my daughter unknowingly to me put her on medicaid taking all of her money, without me knowing & i had to then pay all of her bills, i had been taking care of her for two years, no one else would help & this happened. I called & told the person in charge that now that she didn't receive money anymore that if she needed something that I would be paying for it, I always asked each time if she owed any money, my aunt passed away, & I wasn't even given a call from the ctr, I had to find out thru the funeral home, because I had take care of her funeral. Afterward, to my dismay I find out there was a lingering bill for $600+, I had to call the lady in the office that was always so rude & ask what the bill is & why she hadn't told me about it when I called, she had been sending bills to my daughter & my daughter didn't bother to tell me nor did she pay anything. But my aunt had money in her acct at the Healthcare but instead of paying the balance, they sent her money to the STATE !!! This amount is on her estate which I had to take care of & I need reimbursed for all the extra money I had to put out, I need this debt marked off ASAP I'm going to call in a complaint on this matter.

I highly recommend Stonerise Home Health. I had them coming in after I got out of rehab for a broken leg. They always called first to make sure they could come out. The nurses were nice but the physical therapists were outstanding. Shawn was awesome, a great therapist and a nice guy. He encouraged me to do things I wasn’t sure I could do, and saw me from a wheelchair to a walker to a cane and now with nothing. I couldn’t or perhaps wouldn’t have done it without him. Knowing he was coming each week kept me accountable, doing my exercises so I wouldn’t disappoint him. I owe him a lot and will be eternally grateful for his help. I saw Scott a few times and he too was an excellent therapist. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend either of them
I first used Stonerise in 2023 After total knee replacement. Matt and Will did in home physical therapy. They were both very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They answered any questions and concerns and took time to explain what each exercise was meant to accomplish. They tracked my recovery and kept me informed of where I was in the healing process and what to expect. I had my second knee replaced in April and requested Matt and Will again. They have me up and back on my feet. I would highly recommend Matt and Will to anyone needing physical therapy.
Had someone receive a referral from this agency for home health. They came once and never came back. Had to call, they said it was due to an unsafe environment...huh? Tried to get answers as to what was unsafe, just got transferred to a supervisor who didn't even bother to answer the phone. No animals in the home, the house is messy but that was one of the reasons he needed assistance. Did not refer him to another company, just dropped him. Do not use this company, they have absolutely no heart or compassion when caring for people.
My 91 year old mother recently spent 2 weeks in the Charleston facility. She began telling us upon arrival daily that no one was coming in to check on her and she wasn't getting a shower. After asking the staff the night prior to her having a doctor's appointment (in which Stonerise did transport her), if she was getting a shower. We were told it wasn't her day for a shower. At this point my daughter got my mother up to shower her. The morning of her appointment my daughter rode with her. When they returned my daughter stayed two and half hours and the only person that came in the room was the sweet lady from activities. The staff walked the halls and entered all the other rooms asking if they wanted to go down and eat in the little dining area. No one entered the room to ask my mother. The evening before when nursing staff was asked about blood work, no one could answer if it was done or what levels were. Come to find out the weekly blood work wasn't done as it was supposed to be. The blood work was done the following morning. This is when things got really bad. My mother has battled low hemoglobin for a while and doctors can not figure out why. We were told her hemoglobin was 7.5 which is extremely low. The last time her level was 7.5 resulted in a blood transfusion. The medical staff did not seem to care it was so low. My daughter pointed out that was way below the normal level and that mom would need to go to the ER. Again we were told that was a good hemoglobin. Finally they called an ambulance to send MOM TO THE ER. We arrive at the ER and the blood work was repeated. Finding there had been an error in her hemoglobin level was 8.7. Cindy the facility manager made several excuses as to why things were not done as we were told. I discourage anyone to ever allow any family members to ever go to this center or any center owned by them.
