My mom was just admitted there today for therapy, the staff was totally sincere and pleasant. Rhonda Miller is amazing. She did everything we asked. I'm not sure the lady's name who is my mom's nurse, but she was wonderful also

Extremely under staffed. Staff was not user friendly. Not much going on in the way of activities. Patients are not grouped in rooms by family wishes. Very hard to get anything changed and have to take weeks or months.
Rhonda was an awesome nursing assistant that took care of my mother when she first arrived. The Floor Nurse took extra time to make us feel more acceptable of leaving our mother in their care.
I gave these people a good review about 5 months ago because when I worked there through agency they had their stuff together so at that time they deserved a good review. Now they do not. I went back recently to pick up a few shifts through ShiftKey and it was horrible. They had me on one hallway alone with 30 patients. One aide with 30 patients is insane. I left after 8 hours I wasn’t about to pull a 16 with 30 patients by myself these people are insane. Then the silly director of nursing tried to use a scare tactic and threatened to report me to the board of nursing if I didn’t stay and finish working. I told this ridiculous man that he can go right on ahead and report me I don’t care just know that if you do I’ll let the MBON know how you have GNA’s on the hallway with 30 patients and we’ll see if they like that! This dude really thought I was dumb enough to risk my license and stay for the whole 16 hrs with 30 patients by myself! Threatening to report me didn’t scare me into staying and taking on that HEAVY workload I left anyway! Sterling Care Frostburg is RIDICULOUS if you are a CNA/GNA beware of that place they will try to work you to death it’s just not worth it don’t go!
My sister and i visited our mom today at sterling care. She is always clean and the ladies in her unit are so kind and accommodating to us. Thank you!
